Photorealism involves creating paintings that appear photographic using visual references. Cel shading, or toon shading, makes 3D graphics appear hand-drawn. Abstraction uses shapes and bright colors to make images stand out. Exaggeration describes things as more than they really are, like muscles too big to be possible.
