3. Men or Women?
I don’t think my magazine is based on a certain gender as
the images on my front cover are of both genders. Also the
cover lines are about males and females and this connotes
that women and men can read this magazine. For example:
“LINE UP FOR DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2012”. This applies to
both genders as this rock festival is not gender based and
people who are going there will want to find out more
information about it.
4. Colours
Purple Green Black
I chose these colours on my magazine as they relate to
my audience. They are not gender based. The colour
purple has connotations of mystery and night life. The
colour green shows freshness and originality. Then black
connotes dark powerful and in your face. All these colours
represent what rock music and rock culture is all about.
5. Images
In my magazine my central image on my front cover is of a girl
wearing a leather jacket jeans and a T-shirt. The leather and
denim gives her a rock chick feel and a casual T-shirt to show
she is calm and cool as well as outrageous. She is also wearing
lots of wrist bands perhaps from festivals showing that people
of the rock culture like to go to exciting places with lots of music
and friendly people out to have a good time. There are images
on my contents page of people with guitars and bass guitars
this shows that people that listen to rock music also like to
make music therefore tend to take up playing an instrument as
a hobby so that they can be like the people they go to see at
festivals and gigs.
