2. Light Painting
For my light painting shots I
already had an idea of what i
wanted to do, which was capture
the lights on cars as they pass on
the motorway, for this i had to
have my camera on a low shutter
speed (in this case i set it to 6
seconds) to ensure that i
captured the car lights leaving a
trail on the motorway.
3. Dean Chamberlain
I have taken inspiration from Dean
Chamberlain for his light painting work as
he doesn’t create specific shapes, in a lot of
his work the patterns created with the light
tends to stretch across the image and fill
the whole photograph with colour and
distracts the viewer from the rest of the
image.
5. Fine Art
For the Fine Art theme I decided that I
wanted to capture everything that was
in the frame and i wanted specific shapes
of the lit up flowers in the images to
stand out amongst the rest in the
background, this way it allows for more
detail to be shown through the
photograph. It looks as if there is more of
the light up flowers in the photograph
however all I did was zoom in on them to
make it look as if there was more in the
background.
6. Ansel Adams
Although Ansel Adams captures
everything in focus in his images I have
drawn inspiration from the fact that the
use of shadows in his photos work well
as it makes the image look more
detailed, the shadows are made darker
but they aren’t made so dark that you
can’t see the shadier areas of the
photographs, although my images don’t
look just like this, it has influenced me to
change the brightness of the shadow in
my images.
8. Promotional Photography
For my promotional photography
theme i wanted to take photos of
things that are associated with
Christmas. I specifically chose these
pictures because there is a Christmas
themed link between the two as i
edited the candle light to give the warm
christmas feel and the over the top
Santa display goes nicely with this.
