The London Borough of Redbridge has challenged youth to create an 8-10 minute video about local charities or issues affecting the area. The goal is to improve community cohesion, as the council believes it has declined among youth. The best videos will be aired on local television and in neighboring communities in the autumn of 2017. Youth are given creative freedom in topic, filming, and style, with the only criteria being the video's focus and length. It is a non-binding, non-contract agreement where youth compete for airtime to motivate high quality submissions and inform the borough through various perspectives.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

Task 1
1. Unit 4, 5, 24, 31
Task 1
The youth of Redbridge have been challenged to create a video that centres on, either, one
of the local charities, or, one of the issues that are affecting the area and the residents. The
video is supposed to last between 8-10 minutes.
The Council believes that the level of community cohesion has been on the slide lately,
especially amongst the younger residents. Therefore, they want this video to bring locals
closer together, for the good of the borough.
Some of the best-produced videos will be aired during the early autumn period of 2017 on
local television stations for residents of the Redbridge region, as well as neighbouring
communities.
This brief tells us that we are going to be creating a video for the London Borough of
Redbridge. They have worked on a few other social action projects in the past. For example
they have worked with the ‘London wildlife Trust’ on issues such as biodiversity.
Redbridge London Borough Council is the local authority for Redbridge in Greater London,
England, and one of the capital's 32 borough councils. Redbridge is divided into 21 wards
and elects 63 councillors. Redbridge Council comprises 35 Labour Party members, 25
Conservative Party members and three Liberal Democrat members. The council is now
currently run by the Labour Party.
All boroughs go through problems and Redbridge is no different. I have looked into just
some of the issues that have been going on and some of the countermeasures that have
been put in place to reduce or get rid of certain issues. An example of an issue that is going
on in the area is anti-social behaviour such as rowdy behaviour, vandalism, and loud parties.
Some of the preventative measures that have been put into place are issuing warning
letters, serving Noise Abatement Notices issuing Civil Injunctions and issuing Criminal
Behaviour Orders.
The Redbridge council headquarters are situated at Lynton House, 259 High Road. The
telephone number for the Redbridge council headquarters is 020 8554 5000. The email for
the council is ‘customer.cc@redbridge.gov.uk’.
Structure of Brief
The client; who is the London Borough of Redbridge have created an informal agreement
within the brief, which means that people don’t have to actually produce an 8-10 minute
video for them but choose to do so in the hopes of winning and having their videos aired
during the early autumn period of 2017 on local television stations for residents of the
Redbridge region, as well as neighbouring communities.
It is a legally non-binding agreement between two parties, which is the youth and the
Borough of Redbridge. There is also no contract that needs to be signed by the group or
individual that is going to produce a video. As it is an informal agreement the producer of
the video is in complete control of what is going to happen, for example they will control
2. Unit 4, 5, 24, 31
the topic of the video, the location of filming, actors, and the style in which the production
will be filmed. The only criteria that the producer needs to follow is that it needs to focus
on one of the issues that are affecting the area and the residents and that it needs to be 8-
10 minutes long.
One big aspect of the brief is that it is competition based as you are competing against other
producers to have your video aired on television, as the brief states ‘Some of the best-
produced videos will be aired’. The fact that it is competition based is very good for both the
client and the producers for a multitude of reasons.
One reason why it is good for the producer is that it will push and motivate them to make
the best video that they can possible produce as they want to win, additionally they also
have the incentive that if they win that their video will be aired on television.
It is also very beneficial to the client as it means that they will have loads of top quality
productions to choose from to inform the Borough. Another benefit is that they are getting
material that can bring the borough together for free as the producers are doing it in return
for a non-monetary incentive.
The purpose
The brief states that there are several purposes of creating a social change products. One of
the purposes is the idea of bringing different communities together. As the brief explains,
some of the best projects will be chosen to be aired within the local community but also
with neighbouring communities. This encourages and improves the cohesion between the
communities as both residents of Redbridge along with those from the neighbouring
communities can view the projects that will aired and discuss what they can do to help or
how they can get involved to change issues going on in the area. This is just to increase the
cohesion between communities, but it can also create an increased number of social action
projects which in turn can hopefully bring about change. The whole idea of this competition
is for individuals to create a project that can be shown on TV for others to see regarding an
issue in the area. This has been set by the Borough to educate the people and bring out
change in the communities and areas that the issue has affected so that things can change
for the better.
These types of production can have a massive impact on their audiences as they do not just
educate the people watching on the issue but it can also open their eyes to the issue and
change the way that they think about it. It can also inspire people to go out and make a
difference and let people known how they can do the same. By running this competition,
people are able to inform the public of the current issues or problems that they have
investigated and explain how they can prevent or help solve these issues fromreoccurring
or getting worse. Not only can they inform people about the issues that are going on but
also the charities in the area that are doing thing to help solve the issue and how they can
support the charities.
3. Unit 4, 5, 24, 31
Opportunities
The brief implies that there are a significant number of opportunities that are offered with
this competition. For example, the range of skills that you can gain and improve. One
massive skill that can be improved upon is research, this is as you are going to have to look
into the issues that are going on and ones that are reoccurring and looking into the charities
that are available to help.
Another skill that can be improved upon is communication this can be done in many
different ways, as we will have to be communicating with not only our team but also the
general public it will improve our skills massively. Improving communication skills are very
important in many different areas as throughout our life we will constantly have to
communicate with people.
Another skill that is imperative to have is teamwork as if you have good team working skills
it makes for an easier and well carried out project. Again teamwork can help you in most
situations in everyday life.
Some other skills that you can improve on are your camerawork and editing skills, as the
project needs to be 8-10 minutes we will have a lot of footage not only to film but to edit as
well and this will improve our overall skills of this which will benefit us in the future if we
want to film or edit again.
Creating a project could also significantly increase a person’s confidence. By creating a
project that they the individual is proud of and has worked hard for. Additional if their
project was to be selected to be aired on television this could improve a person’s self-
esteem and confidence massively.
