Recording studio you need a diaphragm microphoneto do the recording. You
will also some sound controlling material to help keep the audio right. You will
need a computer with audio programs you will need these in order to do the
work. In thestudio you can do things like Foley and voice over, it is also very
affective to record high quality sound. Interior environments it is uncontrolled
sound. You can use interior environments becauseof bad weather. You might
need it for the brief scene indoors. Mightneed it for a specific location e.g. the
stairs. Exterior location there lots of things in this environmentlike wind,
natural light, sky, traffic noise, atmosphere, weather etc. there are many
purposes for using this environment. You will also need use this environment
as it is hard to replicate inside.
Acoustics is the properties/qualities of a building which can determine the how
the sound is transmitted in it. Reverb is when the sound bounces off the walls,
reflection filter prevents this reverb this is called absorption. Promixty effect is
when the closer you get to the mic the more intense/bassy it becomes. When
your outdoors there is no reverb as there are no reflective surfaces, butthe
ambient sound. Windshield can also help the acoustics.
Foley is the reproduction of sound effects that are added to video, films and
other media in post-production which enhanceaudio quality. These produces
sounds can be anything fromwalking to breaking glass.
