2. He will judge the nations;
let him also be the Judge between us!
3. “But he who looks into the perfect Torah of freedom, and
continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the
work, this man will be blessed in what he does.”James 1:25
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love
one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder,"
"Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment
there may be, are summed up in this one rule:
"Love your neighbour as yourself." Love does no harm to its
neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the Torah.
Romans 13: 8-10
4. I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of
the flesh. ...
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:
adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, h
atred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish
ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, re
velries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also
told you in time past, that those who practice such things will
not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
5. So the priest shall make atonement for him, for
his sin, and he shall be forgiven. – Lev 4:26
Who will be in the Kingdom of God? Who will be
resurrected to life eternal? Who will be the judge of
mankind and make this selection?

6. Ex 19:5-8
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep
my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among
all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me
a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words
that you shall speak to the people of Israel.
So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set
before them all these words that the LORD had
commanded him. All the people answered together and
said, All that the LORD has spoken we will do.
Even before this though there had been men and women
who had found favour with God. We know Abraham was a
righteous man“Abraham believed God, and it was counted
to him as righteousness.” (Rom 4:3)

7. Ezekiel 18:
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the
father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and
right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall
surely live.
20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of
the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The
righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the
wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
21 “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has
committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and
right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
22 None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be
remembered against him; because of the righteousness which
he has done, he shall live.
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
8. 27 Again, when a wicked man turns away from the
wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful
and right, he preserves himself alive.
28 Because he considers and turns away from all the
transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he
shall not die.
…
30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one
according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD. “Repent, and
turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not
be your ruin.
31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you
have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a
new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

9. John 11:
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the
resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He
who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do
you believe this?”

10. Lev 19:22 And the priest shall make atonement for him
with the ram of the guilt offering before the LORD for his
sin that he has committed, and he shall be forgiven for the
sin that he has committed.
Psalm 15:1 -2 O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks
blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his
heart.
2 Chron 7:14 if my people who are called by my name
humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn
from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and heal their land.

11. We also see that a circumcised heart was needed.
Then John the Baptist arrived and he also brought a
baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins
“John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and
proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the
forgiveness of sins.”- Mark 1:4 and
“And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most
High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his
ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people in
the forgiveness of their sins,” - Luke 1:76-77.

12. A fundamental part of the time after God had
presented the moral code of the universe (the 10
commandments) until the ascension of Yeshua, was
the Levitical priesthood and the crucial role of the High
Priest.

13. Lev 4:20 “ … And the priest shall make atonement for them, and they
shall be forgiven.”
High Priest as Judge:
Deut 17: 8-10
If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between degrees of
guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one
punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then
you shall arise and go up to the place which the LORD your God
chooses.
And you shall come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge there in
those days, and inquire of them; they shall pronounce upon you the
sentence of judgment.
You shall do according to the sentence which they pronounce upon you
in that place which the LORD chooses. And you shall be careful to do
according to all that they order you.

14. Breast Plate of Judgment:
Ex 28:
28 They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the
rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the
intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate
does not come loose from the ephod.
29 “So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the
breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the
holy place, as a memorial before the LORD continually.
30 And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim
and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when
he goes in before the LORD. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of
the children of Israel over his heart before the LORD continually.

15. Lev 23:
26 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
27 “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day
of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall
afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.
28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day
of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your
God.
29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day
shall be cut off from his people.
30 And any person who does any work on that same day, that
person I will destroy from among his people.
31 You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall
afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from
evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath.”
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
16. Lev 16:
29 “This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth
day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether a
native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you.
30 For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse
you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
31 It is a sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a
statute forever.
32 And the priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as priest in
his father’s place, shall make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the
holy garments;
33 then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, and he shall make
atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make
atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.
34 This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the
children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as the LORD
commanded Moses.
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
17. Ex 30:10
Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year.
With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he
shall make atonement for it once in the year
throughout your generations. It is most holy to the
LORD.

18. Zec 3: 1, 6-10
1. Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the
LORD …
6 Then the Angel of the LORD admonished Joshua, saying,
7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts:
‘ If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command,
Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts;
I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here.
8 ‘ Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,
You and your companions who sit before you,
For they are a wondrous sign;
For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.
9 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua:
Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ Says the
LORD of hosts,
‘ And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day,’ says the LORD of hosts,
‘ Everyone will invite his neighbor
Under his vine and under his fig tree.’”

19. Zec 6:12-13
Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of
hosts, saying: “ Behold, the Man whose name is the
BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And
He shall build the temple of the LORD; Yes, He shall
build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the
glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He
shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of
peace shall be between them both.”’

20. At the end of the Yom Kippur service, having prayed for
mercy and forgiveness, Jews finally throw themselves
totally on the mercy of the court.
As Rabbi Greenberg puts it, "This atonement is by divine
grace; it is above and beyond the individual’s own effort
or merit."
Since the Golden Altar is Israel’s heart, her life against
judgment is made by comparing it with the Ten Words
that were inside the Ark,
because the Ten Words were the covenant she had agreed
to keep while at Mount Sinai with God and Moses.

21. God had made it clear what was required of His chosen
people;
He had made it clear that if they ‘fell short’ (sinned),
they could turn back to Him and be saved.
He had also instituted a special person, the High Priest
and a special day, the Day of Atonement,
on which both the sins of corporate Israel and of
individuals within the House of Israel could be forgiven
and ’atoned’ for.
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
22. During the ministry of Yeshua had the situation
changed? In some ways no.
Look at the story of Zacchaeus.
Zacchaeus repents of his sins, indicates that he will
make restitution as required by Torah and then Yeshua
answers him and states that
‘Today salvation has come to this house(hold), since he
also is a son of Abraham. (Luke 19:9).
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
23. As Yeshua hung on the cross what did he say to his
people, to the House of Israel?
He said “Forgive them Father, for they know not what
they do” (Luke 23:34).
◦ Who, after-all was really responsible for the sacrifice of the
Son of God on the Holy Hill? – see Psalm 2:6
Was he condemning his people and their ways either
because that rejected him or because they rejected
God.
He was, at the very least, attempting to intercede on
their behalf before his Father and theirs. Was he, in a
sense, already acting as High Priest?
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
24. At Yeshua’s death the curtain to the Holy of Holies was
torn apart, and
After the ascension and Yeshua’s inauguration as High
Priest,
he spent 40 days preaching on the Kingdom (Acts 1:6);
Being seen by 500 and yet,
Yeshua never tried to use his new role as High Priest to
judge the people and assert his authority.
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
25. What didn’t he do?
He didn’t institute ‘easy believism’.
A new High Priest is now installed.
A new Mediator and Judge and,
And soon coming King;
Who is now interceding on behalf of the chosen
people of God, both the root of the tree and the
grafted-in branches!
Yeshua the High Priest - Presented by Paul Herring
26. He has exercised the role of High Priest from his
inauguration.
When we choose to repent, and be obedient, Yeshua
as our High Priest judges the efficacy of our conversion
and our walking the narrow way;
THE WAY.
Only through his judgment, his say so, can we come to
the Father, and enter into the Coming Age –Yeshua’s
Way, his faithfulness in the Almighty is the only wayto
God and life eternal; life in the Coming Age!

◦ a perfect man,
◦ who through suffering as we have suffered;
◦ being tempted as we are tempted,
◦ is able to be the perfect judge of our circumcised hearts.

28. THE LORD (God) says to my Lord (the Messiah),
Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool. The
Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength;
rule, then, in the midst of Your foes.
Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in
the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the
morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are as the
dew.
The Lord has sworn and will not revoke or change it: You are a priest
forever, after the manner and order of Melchizedek.
The Lord at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His
indignation.
He will execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] upon the
nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the
[chief] heads over lands many and far extended.
He will drink of the brook by the way; therefore will He lift up His head
[triumphantly].

29. So in conclusion, when we read in John 14:6:
“Yeshua said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.”,
I suggest that Yeshua is declaring that as High Priest, he is the judge, he is the one who
now decides who will be accepted and join him at the marriage supper as his bride and
join him in the Kingdom.
SO let Yeshua be the judge;
◦ let him read the hearts of men;
◦ let us not place labels of acceptance and rejection on others.
◦ This is not our role but his.
Let us seek to do the will of God; we and our households but let us not condemn others
who also know the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but who perhaps do not yet know
their High Priest, the Messiah Yeshua.
Trust that he knows them who are his.

commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (KJV)

Editor's Notes
I have been so encouraged by the three days here; by the love and godliness first of Dennis & Marg & Tanya, but also of the so many beautiful and welcoming ppl I have met. But I have also met many here who have been hurt by fellow believers because of some disagreement over doctrine. For example a lot of you honour the Sabbath, that is the Friday eve to Sat eve and have been hurt and perhaps rejected by some of your fellow believers because they disagree with you.Yeshua commanded us to love our neighbour – how can we do that if we can’t love our fellow believers! May I suggest you stop even considering what denominational label ppl may have placed on them but treat them with love first and see if they too walk in the love of Messiah. If their actions of righteous and honour of Yeshua and Yahweh appear legit then embrace them as fellow brothers and sisters,Use Yeshua’s maxim = My brothers and my sisters are those who do the will of my Father. Not only those who believe in a post-trib rapture, not only those who keep the sabbath, not only those who believe the moral code of the universe is embodied in the 10 Words. Accept those who disagree with you!
Love is the proper interpretation and outworking of the TORAH, example of fence bringing freedom; contrast with physical laws
No doctrine is listed here!!! Accept an embrace difference!Gal 3: 27-29 - ..in union with Messiah you are all one. When 2 become 1 or when I and my father are one it means a unity of purpose not a sameness of belief of dress code, of dance style, of hand raising…

The distinguished rank of the high priest is apparent from the fact that his sins are regarded as belonging also to the people (Lev 4: 3, 22). He was entrusted with the stewardship of the Urim and Thummim (Num. 27: 20). On the Day of Atonement he alone entered the Holy of Holies, to make atonement for his house and for the people (Lev. 14.); on that occasion he wore white linen garments instead of his ordinary and more costly vestments. He alone could offer the sacrifices for the sins of the priests, or of the people, or of himself
While many will argue with the meaning of Yeshua’s words here and propose that the presence of Yeshua was somehow salvation; the plain understanding seems clear, that based on the Hebrew scriptures already quoted above, Zacchaeus was now a repentant sinner, a ‘lost sheep’ of Israel who had been found, and thus a citizen of the coming Kingdom. This does not preclude the need for this repentance to be accepted and atoned for at the following Day of Atonement by whoever was the High Priest in that year. This understanding is also consistent with the whole ministry of Yeshua and his disciples before his crucifixion, where they preached repentance but not atonement through the sacrifice of his blood. Remember, they didn’t know he was going to die. When Yeshua sent the 70 out to preach the Gospel, none of them knew of his impeding crucifixion.
In his day the estimates are that there were around 2 million Jews in Jerusalem for Passover (some argue that the population of Jerusalem was only 80,000 but this seems unlikely) and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Did he show himself to all of them. It appears from the Gospel accounts that he was seen by some 500. This is clearly sufficient number to establish his victory over death, but why didn’t he go to Pilate and say ‘Look at me. Try putting a spear through me now?’. He never sought to vindicate himself, he never sought to assert his Kingship at that time. Wave sheaf ofering… Martha not to touch him
The Way:1 Now the days of David drew near that he should die, and he charged Solomon his son, saying: 2 "I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man. 3 And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn; 4 that the Lord may fulfill His word which He spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul,' He said, 'you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel. 1 Kings 2:1-4 (NKJV)For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God. 11 Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. 12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore. 13 For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
