Taking a stand on Critical
Issues
Taking a stand is to express one’s
opinion and tell people that things
need to change. It’s like joining in a
debate and sharing your
arguments in a proper and formal
way possible especially when
critical issues are presented.
Before making a stand once prompted with one
especially from a social media, you must:
• Examine the issue

So, make sure that you check the
information of each side and from
there, you can proceed with number 4.

studied the issue presented and
the evidence of each side, this
is the time you’ll take your
stand. This is when you choose
your side and prove your

you want to make your message
stronger, deeper, and more impact,
find a way to save it so that people can
always find it while you continue to
work on something new.

groups and assign each group a
critical issue to debate. Provide them
with research materials and resources
