This document discusses mapping mine tailings in Tunisia using remote sensing. It proposes modeling mine tailing spectra using spectral mixture analysis (SMA) and using the modeled spectra in classification of a Landsat ETM+ image. Field data from 54 tailing samples were used to identify minerals and their abundances to model a tailings spectrum. Linear spectral unmixing with the modeled spectrum produced a mine tailings fraction map with an RMS error of less than 2.6x10-5 for 99.6% of pixels, outperforming classification using measured or derived ETM+ spectra. The results indicate modeled spectra can better characterize tailings in semi-arid contexts when in situ measurement is not possible.

Abstract
The Σ beam asymmetry in the photoproduction of neutral pions from quasi-free nucleons in a deuteron target was measured for the first time between 0.60 and 1.50GeV, with the GRAAL polarized and tagged photon beam. The asymmetry values from the quasi-free proton were found equal to the ones extracted from a pure proton target. The asymmetries from quasi-free proton and quasi-free neutron were found equal up to 0.82GeV and substantially different at higher energies. The results are compared with recent partial-wave analyses.

In this study, a simple green method was employed to synthesize functionalized silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate for detection of dopamine (DA). In this method, polyethylene glycol (PEG) was functionalized on silver nanoparticles to prepare the uniform and controlled size of nanoparticles (NPs). The optical and structural properties of functionalized nanoparticles were characterized. The Raman spectra of the prepared PEG-Ag SERS substrate clearly indicated an enhancement in the SERS signal of dopamine. The developed functionalized SERS substrate can be potentially used as a sensitive SERS substrate for detection of various neurotransmitters for biomedical application.

The hyperspectral data were subjected to Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and Minimum Noise Fraction (MNF), Pixel Purity Index (PPI) and n-Dimensional Visualization for better lithology mapping. The proposed study area has various typical rock types. The PCA, ICA and MNF have been proposed best band combination for effectiveness of lithological mapping such as PCA (R: G: B=2:1:3), MNF (R: G: B=4:3:2) and ICA (R: G: B=3:1:2). The derived lithological map has compared with published geological map from Geological Survey of India and validated with field investigation. Therefore, ASTER data based lithological mapping are fast, cost-effective and more accurate.

Antarctica- Icy wilderness of extremes and wondertahreemzahra82
In this presentation, we delve into the captivating realm of Antarctica, Earth's southernmost continent. This icy wilderness stands as a testament to extremes, with record-breaking cold temperatures and vast expanses of pristine ice. Antarctica's landscape is dominated by towering glaciers, colossal icebergs, and expansive ice shelves. Yet, amidst this frozen expanse, a rich tapestry of unique wildlife thrives, including penguins, seals, and seabirds, all finely attuned to survive in this harsh environment. Beyond its natural wonders, Antarctica also serves as a vital hub for scientific exploration, providing invaluable insights into climate change and the Earth's history

Conclusion
The results comparison indicate that the modelled spectrum can even
better characterize the tailings in the case of semi-arid context,
The SMA approach can be an optimal solution to replace the lack of the
spectroradiometer and can be applied successfully to multispectral data
analysis, particularly those acquired during previous periods.
Perspectives
We plan for more campaign,
We propose to test the SMA approach for different mining sites.
