The document provides detailed instructions for proper dental flossing technique, including how to hold the floss, gently working it between teeth, scrubbing the sides of each tooth both above and below the gum line, changing to a clean section of floss, and rinsing after flossing. It notes that tender or bleeding gums are usually due to inflammation from a lack of effective flossing and can be reduced by following the instructions daily.
This document discusses the debate around the effectiveness of flossing. While some studies have found flossing to be effective in reducing plaque and interdental caries, other reviews have found the evidence for flossing to be weak and unreliable. The conclusion is that interdental cleaning is still important to reduce plaque, but the best method depends on the individual patient and their dental anatomy - interdental brushes are generally recommended where they fit, and floss can be used where brushes don't fit. More research is still needed to definitively assess different interdental cleaning methods.
This document discusses finding the right toothbrush for children of different ages. It recommends soft-bristled toothbrushes and mentions that toothbrush design is tailored for different developmental stages and dental needs. For babies, it suggests soft rubber-tipped brushes. As children grow, toothbrushes should evolve with longer handles, rounded heads, and varied bristle counts and arrangements to accommodate the developing teeth. Electric toothbrushes may be better for children ages 6 and up. Choosing the proper toothbrush type and teaching good brushing habits helps ensure healthy teeth and gums.

A dentifrice is a substance used with a toothbrush to clean the accessible surfaces of the teeth. It contains abrasive agents that help polish teeth by removing calculus, stains, and stuck on particles. Dentifrices also contain humectants like sorbitol and mannitol to prevent drying and maintain consistency, as well as sweetening agents to make the paste more acceptable for use in the mouth. The proper amount of dentifrice for cleaning depends on the size of the toothbrush and the age of the user.

Mouthwash is a liquid held in the mouth to clean it. There are several types of mouthwash including fluoride mouthwash, which contains fluoride to protect teeth from decay. Antiseptic mouthwash contains alcohol and treats infections and bad breath by stopping bacterial growth. Cosmetic mouthwash is used to freshen breath but does not improve oral health. Natural mouthwash uses ingredients that are safer than other types of mouthwash. Chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash reduces bacteria and is prescribed to treat gingivitis. The document discusses various types of mouthwash and their purposes.
Taking care of oral health through regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups can prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Plaque that is not removed can lead to these problems. Key steps include brushing teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, visiting the dentist regularly, and limiting sugary foods and drinks as well as smoking. Proper oral hygiene is important for overall health.
The document discusses proper tooth brushing techniques. It recommends brushing teeth three times a day - after breakfast, lunch, and dinner - to prevent plaque buildup and cavities. The five steps to brushing are: use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, hold the brush at an angle, brush all tooth surfaces for 2 minutes, brush back and forth and in circles, and rinse with water after brushing. Flossing and mouthwash are also important to clean between teeth and kill bacteria.

The document describes an experiment to test the hypothesis that an electric toothbrush cleans stains more effectively than a manual toothbrush. The experiment used dentures stained for one hour then brushed for two minutes with either an electric or manual toothbrush using the same toothpaste. A colorimeter measured the remaining stain. The results found that the manual toothbrush cleaned more stain than the electric toothbrush, rejecting the original hypothesis. The conclusion notes that using different amounts of toothpaste or stronger stains could impact the results if the experiment was repeated.
This document discusses the importance of oral health and proper dental care. It explains that teeth are important for appearance, chewing, and speech. Good dental hygiene includes brushing teeth twice a day for two minutes, flossing once a day, and regular dental checkups. Cavities are caused by plaque, a sticky film of bacteria. Plaque produces acid that decays enamel over time if not removed by brushing and flossing. The dentist checks for cavities and gum disease, takes x-rays, performs cleanings, and applies fluoride to strengthen teeth. Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for lifelong dental health.
This document provides information on oral health care for people with disabilities. It emphasizes that people with disabilities often require extra assistance to maintain good oral hygiene. It outlines strategies direct support professionals can use to help with brushing and flossing teeth, such as being patient, using positive reinforcement, and making it a positive experience. The document also discusses common oral health issues and the importance of routine dental visits.
Proper care of the teeth and gums is important for oral health and confidence. Key steps include brushing teeth twice daily for 2-3 minutes with fluoride toothpaste, flossing once a day to remove food from between teeth, and visiting the dentist twice yearly for cleanings and checkups. In addition to daily brushing and flossing, eating a diet with fruits and vegetables rather than sticky sweets can help prevent cavities and keep teeth and gums healthy.
The document discusses proper oral hygiene and dental care. It provides information on:
1. The importance of regular teeth cleaning to remove dental plaque and tartar, with dentists recommending professional cleanings twice per year.
2. Daily brushing, flossing, and cleaning one's tongue to remove bacteria and food particles that can cause cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.
3. A routine dental exam including visual exam, x-rays, professional cleaning, fluoride treatment, and potential use of dental sealants.
This document provides instructions for proper oral hygiene, including brushing teeth, flossing, brushing the tongue, and optional mouth rinsing. It emphasizes the importance of brushing teeth for at least 3 minutes, twice a day using the modified Bass method. Flossing is recommended to remove debris between teeth that brushing cannot reach. Brushing the tongue helps reduce bad breath. Maintaining good oral hygiene through these steps can help prevent dental diseases and issues like bad breath, and promote overall health.
Baby bottle rot is severe tooth decay that can occur in young children from sugary liquids consumed from bottles. It is caused by germs and sugar combining on teeth. Signs include pain, bad breath, and discolored teeth. Untreated baby bottle rot can lead to infection of adult teeth and problems with eating, talking, and pain. Parents can prevent it by cleaning teeth after feedings, avoiding bottles with sugar, and switching to sippy cups once teeth emerge. A dentist can treat existing decay.

The document provides information on maintaining oral health for babies. It recommends using fluoride to protect teeth from decay, checking teeth for spots or stains and cleaning them daily with a soft cloth or toothbrush, starting fluoride toothpaste at age 2, feeding babies healthy foods without added sugars, and avoiding putting babies to bed with bottles in order to prevent tooth decay. The most important thing parents can do is avoid putting babies to bed with bottles filled with liquids other than water.
There are four types of teeth - incisors, canines, premolars, and molars - each with a different function like cutting, tearing, and grinding. Teeth are made of enamel and are susceptible to plaque buildup from bacteria if not properly cared for. To maintain good oral health, the document recommends brushing teeth twice daily, flossing regularly, limiting sweets, visiting the dentist twice per year, and eating a balanced diet.
Dr. R. James Richardson II presents information on proper dental care for school aged children. Key points include:
- A child's first dental visit should be by age one or when the first tooth erupts to establish good prevention habits. Many children seen at ages 3-5 already had cavities.
- Baby teeth are important for nutrition, speech development, and proper alignment of permanent teeth.
- Cavities are transmissible and can be prevented by brushing twice daily, flossing daily, limiting sugary foods and drinks, and regular dental visits.
- Bad breath in children is usually due to tooth decay, gingivitis or periodontitis and can be addressed by brushing the tongue.

Common dental problems in children such as baby bottle tooth decay and early loss of teeth are explained. Maintaining proper dental hygiene through brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and regular dental checkups can help prevent dental issues in children.
7 daily ways to protect your teeth + 7 remedies for yellow teethWalid Zebbiche
Some say the eyes are the window to the soul. But if you really want to know what someone’s
about, check their smile. A welcoming show of pearly whites makes a great first impression,
while a tight-lipped smile or whiff of bad breath does the opposite.
Read on for tips on how to make sure you’re giving your teeth the care they deserve.
Oral Hygiene provides tips for proper dental care including brushing teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily to remove food and fight bad breath, using mouthwash to keep breath fresh, and seeing the dentist every year for cleanings and checkups. It also notes that cavities occur when bacteria causes tooth decay, braces may be needed for crooked teeth, and tongue scrapers help remove bacteria for fresher breath.
Shailee Patel created a lesson plan to teach proper oral hygiene to 3-4 year olds. The plan involves demonstrating brushing and flossing techniques using an activity board, typodont, stuffed animals and sing-along music. Students will first watch a demonstration then practice the techniques. The lesson aims to explain the importance of brushing to remove "sugar bugs" which cause cavities if left on teeth. Students will participate in an activity and be asked questions to evaluate their understanding of proper brushing habits.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

1. MAKING AND TESTING
TOOTHPASTE ACTIVITY.
Toothpaste is made of a combination of substances.
It usually contains a fine material, called an abrasive,
that grinds and pushes deposits of plaque and tartar
off your teeth. Some toothpastes also contain
fluoride, which helps prevent holes called cavities
from developing in your teeth. In addition,
toothpastes usually contain a little soap along with a
flavor and a color. This simple toothpaste recipe will
get the calcium carbonate (from the Tums) as an
abrasive and baking soda to remove stains and
reduce mouth acids
2. WHAT DO WE NEED?
We would need the following:
1.Package of unflavored Tums antacid tablets
2..Small box of baking soda Assorted liquid food
colors
3.Assorted liquid food flavors (for example, vanilla
and orange)
4.Plastic spoon
5.Measuring spoons
6.Two sandwich bags
7.Clean dish towel
8.Two clean, clear, plastic cups
9.Rolling pin
10.Access to water
11. Vanilla flavor, strawberry flavor

the bag and then move the rolling pin back
and forth over it, crushing the Tums into a
fine powder.
Keep adding, breaking, and crushing Tums
like this until you've made about 1/2
teaspoon of powder.
4. Step two
Next we mix the dry substances together.
Put ½ teaspoon of tums into a plastic cup.
Add ¼ teaspoon of baking soda.
Mix in the cup with three drops of water to
make a paste.
Add a ½ a teaspoon of the food flavoring
of your choice.
5. WHAT DID YOU OBSERVE
Ask children questions to gather
information about their learning,
understanding and vocabulary.
What did you observe?
What does the mixture feel like?
what color is the mixture?
What does it taste like?
Did you enjoy this activity.
What did you learn?
6. EXTENDING THEIR LEARNING
. Ask the children to repeat the activity using
other measurements.
Study the original recipe and your
observations to get ideas for improving the
toothpaste.
Think about using different amounts of
substances, adding a flavor, and changing the
color.
Make a new batch of toothpaste, test it, and
write down your observations.
7. What we need:
We would need to get a toothbrush for each student.
Provide toothpaste.
Provide water in each cup for students.
Provide a video to show children how to brush their
teeth.
