Job Summary
Responsibilities
As a System Acquisition Specialist you will work as a member of a team to provide program
management support services through all acquisition phases including research, design,
development, and engineering; test and evaluation; fielding and life cycle support to CECOM
SEC ISD. Provide support at Ragatz Hall and Greely Hall at Fort Huachuca occupied by
CECOM SEC ISD and its supporting government contractors. Specifically, you will:
Execute acquisition resource requirements (DoD 5000 series, applicable OMB circulars,
Defense Acquisition Guide, DoD Guide to Planning and Scheduling, etc.) as
demonstrated by a working knowledge of contents and application of each in the
acquisition life cycle
Execute scheduling requirements (Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown
Structure, etc.) as demonstrated by applying the application and principals in developing
and managing integrated schedules and scheduling products, and ensuring actual events
feedback into the scheduling process
Provide risk management as demonstrated by identifying risk drivers, dependencies, root
causes, and developing risk mitigation/consequence management strategies throughout
the program total lifecycle
Develop acquisition documents, to include Initial Capabilities Document, Capability
Development Document, Capability Production Document, Acquisition Strategy,
Acquisition Program Baseline, Program Management Plan, Acquisition Decision
Memorandum, Affordability Estimate, Analysis of Alternatives, Cost Analysis and
Requirements Description, and Integrated Master Schedule
Support the development of program acquisition documentation such as Acquisition
Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Requirements Documents (ARP), and
Statement of Work (SOW)
Provides guidance to diverse teams through the acquisition process. Leads and
participate in meetings and supports specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
2. Educating and providing advice to Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager
regarding the Acquisition Life Cycle
Contract support to include:
o Defining requirements
o Developing acquisition strategies
o Writing planning documentation such as acquisition plans, and risk management
plans
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience is required. Three
Additional years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
Army Acquisition Corps Level 2 certification in logistics, program management or
information technology is highly desired OR recognized industry equivalent professional
certification.
Demonstrates Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certified (baseline security certification i.e. CompTIA
Security+ce) and (technical computing environment training or certification i.e. Server+)
prior to start of work
Secret Clearance Required. TS/SCI Eligibility needed based on final work assignment

Familiar with Government Property forms to include but not limited to: Requisition and
Invoice/Shipping Document (DD 1149) Request for Issue Document (DA 3161) Notice
of Delegation of Authority (DA 1687) Material Inspection and Receiving Report (DD
250) Turn in for excess or replacement Document (DD 2765-1) Hand Receipt Document
(DA 2062)
Knowledge and understanding of the Acquisition Life Cycle
Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and Project
