This syllabus outlines the schedule and topics for an ESOL class at Bunker Hill Community College for the second semester from January to June 2017. The syllabus covers three main themes: health in January/February, budgeting and finances in April, and community and navigating systems in May-June. For each month or theme, the syllabus provides details on reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities as well as the grammar and vocabulary skills that will be focused on. Students will engage with textbooks, short stories, websites and videos related to the themes. Projects include researching and presenting on a health topic, creating a household budget, and a final community or navigating systems project.
