RTI Tracker is a proposed application to track Response to Intervention (RTI) processes in DC Public Schools. RTI is a standard protocol used when students are struggling, to intervene and get them back on track. The application would track planning, responsibilities, and student progress monitoring for RTI interventions. It is needed because interventions are currently tracked through basic Google docs, which makes reporting difficult and data quality poor. The project aims to implement a new tool by Spring 2015 to improve RTI tracking and make DCPS a leader in using data to help students succeed.

What is Response to Intervention (RTI)?
When a student has been identified as struggling in
some way (based on specific criteria around
academics, behavior, attendance, etc), there is a
standard protocol used to intervene with the intention
of getting the student back on track
An application is needed to track the various aspects
of the intervention:
• Planning (Meetings, targets/goals, etc)
• Responsibilities of each individual
• Progress Monitoring
