Design Development and Simulation of Mobile Substation for Distribution NetworkIJSRD
With the increase in population, the growing demand for energy in urban areas is compelling the utilities to expand their supply network. Higher levels of demand for power must be met at short notice and physical space available used to an optimum. One solution to such cases is a mobile substation. This does away with costly construction work and if necessary, the substation can move location in container, together with its foundation which includes switchgear as an assembly of equipment, transformer and control panel cabin. When mobile substation is used to restore electrical service, it function as part of the permanent grid system. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the Design parameters for Mobile and/or Compact Substation for different Applications and identify the situations needing the mobile and/or compact substation.

Water contamination is one of the major causes of water borne diseases worldwide. In Kenya, approximately 43% of people lack access to potable water due to human contamination. River Kuywa water is currently experiencing contamination due to human activities. Its water is widely used for domestic, agricultural, industrial and recreational purposes. This study aimed at characterizing bacteria and fungi in river Kuywa water. Water samples were randomly collected from four sites of the river: site A (Matisi), site B (Ngwelo), site C (Nzoia water pump) and site D (Chalicha), during the dry season (January-March 2018) and wet season (April-July 2018) and were transported to Maseno University Microbiology and plant pathology laboratory for analysis. The characterization and identification of bacteria and fungi were carried out using standard microbiological techniques. Nine bacterial genera and three fungi were identified from Kuywa river water. Clostridium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Enterobacter spp., Streptococcus spp., E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Shigella spp., Proteus spp. and Salmonella spp. Fungi were Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus flavus complex and Penicillium species. Wet season recorded highest bacterial and fungal counts (6.61-7.66 and 3.83-6.75cfu/ml) respectively. The results indicated that the river Kuywa water is polluted and therefore unsafe for human consumption before treatment. It is therefore recommended that the communities to ensure that they boil water especially for drinking.

Improving the viability of probiotics by encapsulation methods for developmen...Open Access Research Paper
The popularity of functional foods among scientists and common people has been increasing day by day. Awareness and modernization make the consumer think better regarding food and nutrition. Now a day’s individual knows very well about the relation between food consumption and disease prevalence. Humans have a diversity of microbes in the gut that together form the gut microflora. Probiotics are the health-promoting live microbial cells improve host health through gut and brain connection and fighting against harmful bacteria. Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are the two bacterial genera which are considered to be probiotic. These good bacteria are facing challenges of viability. There are so many factors such as sensitivity to heat, pH, acidity, osmotic effect, mechanical shear, chemical components, freezing and storage time as well which affects the viability of probiotics in the dairy food matrix as well as in the gut. Multiple efforts have been done in the past and ongoing in present for these beneficial microbial population stability until their destination in the gut. One of a useful technique known as microencapsulation makes the probiotic effective in the diversified conditions and maintain these microbe’s community to the optimum level for achieving targeted benefits. Dairy products are found to be an ideal vehicle for probiotic incorporation. It has been seen that the encapsulated microbial cells show higher viability than the free cells in different processing and storage conditions as well as against bile salts in the gut. They make the food functional when incorporated, without affecting the product sensory characteristics.

Climate Change All over the World .pptxsairaanwer024
Climate change refers to significant and lasting changes in the average weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It encompasses both global warming driven by human emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large-scale shifts in weather patterns. While climate change is a natural phenomenon, human activities, particularly since the Industrial Revolution, have accelerated its pace and intensity
2. This space is evolving rapidly. As compared to retrofit-based
energy savings programs which rely on refitting energy
efficient components into existing assets, there are significant
gains possible with much lower capital outlay. At the same
time, there are many hurdles to be crossed for successful
deployment.
• Modeling the differences between various sites and
tailoring the saving strategies accordingly
• The ability to set up and quickly scale the program across
the organization
• The technology to detect deviations across multiple sites
• The integration of current energy related infrastructure
and automation systems
• Domain expertise in Refrigeration, HVAC, Lighting and
Controls along with ability to understand large volume of data
• Capital funding for implementing EMS program and the
availability of incentives and rebates for operational
saving programs
• Vendor-agnostic solutions to address multi-vendor
environment in same or different geographies
Our EMS program offers you more than just saving energy
cost. We deliver savings on operational costs covering a wide
scope ranging from food safety management to comfort
(employees’ as well as customers’) to proactive asset
performance management.
ANALYZE. ACHIEVE. ACCELERATE
Retailers with a national presence are large
consumers of energy. Rising energy costs and
regulatory requirements have increased the
pressure on retailers for managing energy
effectively while improving the customer
experience.
Recently, many participants of the US Department
of Energy Better Buildings Challenge published their
achievements. The two main highlights were:
• Retailers that achieved the highest savings were
those that have implemented an effective
Energy Management Systems (EMS) program
• Irrespective of the savings achieved, retailers
are now realizing the importance of an EMS in
their environment
The present approach to energy management
focuses on discrete measures for an individual site.
The same is then applied across larger number of
sites based on criteria such as tariffs, type of assets
and operational knowledge.
In contrast, an Energy Management System
leverages IT systems to monitor and analyze the
performance of an enterprise’s energy
infrastructure across a large number of sites. The
rich analytics help energy managers spot the energy
efficiency opportunities and can lead to operational
improvement of assets. The focus of such savings
program is to optimize the operation of the existing
energy infrastructure and improve the compliance
of operating policies as required by business.

4. ANALYZE. ACHIEVE. ACCELERATE
Quantity:
A large portion of savings from our EMS offering are achieved by
reducing the energy consumption. Our innovative saving strategies are
identified through our highly scalable EMS platform and analytics
teams. Our own teams take responsibility to action the findings, giving
certainty of saving and not just insights.
Reporting & Assurance:
Our services offer Enterprise level reporting which allow Enterprises
to not only ensure internal policy compliance but also provide data to
monitor regulatory requirements.
Delivering Quicker, Deeper
Wipro EcoEnergy deploys the EMS program through an innovative
wave-based ideology. Each wave focuses on key aspects and is
dedicated to uncovering every opportunity there is to save energy
related costs for you.
Wave 1: Policy and Control Strategies
Once the saving strategies are identified, Wave 1 savings focus on
remote operational corrections and standardization like schedule and
policy corrections. Controls-based asset optimization strategies are
deployed that optimize the capacity in operation and choose the most
optimum mode of operation.
Our Wave 1 solution is vendor agnostic that allows us to start
producing savings very early on in the program, even for proprietary
controls.

Wave 2: Deviation Management
The Wave 2 saving strategies focus on sustaining the savings through
rule-based deviation management, and delivering real-time savings
through short-range analytics.
Our unique Energy Management Platform continuously detects and
even corrects the deviations through algorithms. Integration of
weather trends & tariff information delivers substantially higher cost
savings.
Any deviations from the policies, schedules, mode of operations are
detected by the Platform, and the adherence to the same is enforced
by analysts at our Energy Operations Center (EOC). The EOC is a
central control center run by a team of energy experts that provides
energy modeling, monitoring, incident management, ticket
management, and performs energy reduction activities and reporting.
The Platform protects many other saving strategies and also
autocorrects some of the deviations in near real-time.
Wave 3: Advanced Analytics
The analysis of richer data helps maximize the effectiveness of the deployed saving strategies and the identification of new and more granular saving
strategies.
