An ionic flow is established where molecules are transported through the epidermis using electroos- mosis and electrophoresis. Iontophoresis is
commonly used to transport pilocarpine molecules into the skin and stimulate sweat secretion.

An ionic flow is established where molecules are transported through the epidermis using electroos- mosis and electrophoresis. The system measures the loss of sweat, sweat rate, pH, temperature, and concentrations of glucose, chloride, and lactate. Devices are worm on the forehead, torso or forearm during exercise to produce distinct color changes (with unique RGB values) in the presence of sweat biomarkers that are subsequently captured by a smartphone and quantified into relevant information.
