This document describes the development of a flexible, disposable electrochemical sensing platform for continuously monitoring ionic composition in bodily fluids. Specifically, it details the creation of a sweat chloride patch with screen-printed silver/silver chloride electrodes on polyethylene terephthalate. The patch was able to detect chloride ions in sweat with a sensitivity of 56 mV/decade during a one-hour treadmill exercise. Experimental results showed the electrodes had good reproducibility and stability over 175 hours of testing in potassium chloride solutions of varying concentrations.
