This document discusses the development of a microfluidic platform for studying bacteria at the single-cell level, specifically focusing on antibiotic effects and gene regulation via CRISPR interference. The platform utilizes low-cost materials and an autofocusing module to enable extended imaging and analysis of bacterial behavior in response to antibiotics like ampicillin. Such innovations are aimed at addressing challenges in antibiotic resistance by enhancing our understanding of bacterial physiology and genetic responses to treatments.
