2. “What device do you
mainly view media on?”
I asked what device people mainly view media on
and the responses were: 8 out of 14 people said
phone,1 person said laptop/tablet/desktop etc, 2
people said 2 or more and 2 others said tv. I then
expanded on that question and asked in my
interview why they think 8 people said phone and
they both said because it is more portable and
convenient. This would effect your product design
as a media producer as you would want to make a
product that is more
3. “What is your favourite
tv/movie genre?”
Out of Horror/Thriller, Action, Comedy and Romance,
over half of people said Horror/Thriller(8 out of 14). The
rest were broken down into 3 people for Action and 3
people for Comedy. Also when I done my interview, I
asked “What movie comes to mind when you think of
your favourite genre?” and both of the people who I was
interviewing said movies of a similar genre (Thriller),
which backs up the point that horror/thriller is the most
preferred genre in this target audience. This would effect
your decisions on how you would6 create your product
as a media producer as you would want to create a more
enjoyable, boundary pushing media product.
4. What media service
subscription?
I asked what media service subscription people
have, and the answers were: - 9 out of 14 people
said they have a Netflix subscription, 1 said amazon
prime, 1 said Disney+, 1 said none and 2 said all of
the above. In my interview I asked which is better
out of Amazon prime or Netflix. And the response I
got was that they are equal but Netflix has more
well known movies/shows and Amazon prime has
more original series’ . This would effect your
decisions as a media producer by putting your
product on a well know site as there would be more
subscribers around the world would be able to view
your product.
5. Downloading or physically
buying media?
Out of downloading or physically buying media in person,
downloading media was more popular with 10 votes. I then asked
why downloading media was more popular than purchasing media
in person and the response was that it is more convenient and
accessible. This would influence your choices as a media producer
because you would have to make sure your product can be more
accessible online to reach more people of your target audience.
