Summer school programs are required to provide 150 hours of in-person instruction. Year-round schools can meet this through track-out periods. Elementary programs must be in-person. Districts can request a 7-day extension for proposals. Proposals must include program components outlined in the template. Kindergarten retention is a local decision. AIG and additional students can attend based on space. Enrichment and physical activity each count towards hours but lunch does not. Instruction can be split into two sessions.
