Process of acquiring and accommodating, assimilating, and accelerating new
employees into the system, culture and methodology.
WHY?
• Acquainting beginners’ with company’s policies, rules and regulations.
• To decrease turn-over, improve team-work, give employees a sense of belonging.
• Done exceptionally well, create a cult-like devotion to a company.
• Measurable profit growth.
HOW?
• Connect to New Joiners.
• Feedback- Induction, seat allocation, Employee ID, Asset allocation, Relation with
Reporting Managers, any issues faced.
• Connect with Managers- aware them about online module training for New Joiners.
SCOPE-
Training to all the New Joiners, who require it as per the job before Date Of
Joining.
OFF-BOARDING
• Essentially a ‘good-bye’ rather than a ‘hello,’
WHY?
• To guide a graceful exit.
• To make an open communication(b/w Employer & Exiting employee) a
possibility.
HOW?
• Exit interviews
• Removal of company property from the employee’s possession
• Cutting off any access to company information.
• Know about Last working Day(LWD) of employee.
• No Dues Clearance
• Full & Final Initiation.
SCOPE-
• Increase in the salary package as less salary package has been the greatest
reason of high attrition rate.
• Providing the employees with the tasks related to their area of specialization
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM
• A continuous process where managers and employees work together to plan,
monitor and review an employee's work objectives and his or her overall
contribution to the organization.
WHY?
• Assessing employee performance.
• keeping track of measures, goals, and objectives.
• Gathering and collating information from a variety of sources.
HOW?
• Filling of Goal sheet by the employees.
• Appraisal Confirmation.
• Renewal Confirmation.
• Conversion of contractual employees
SCOPE-
• Conversion of contractual employees to On-Roll, take more than considerate
time.
• Needs to be fasten so that the employees working for more than 5 years feel
motivated.
SUGGESTIONS
•Providing the employees with the tasks related to their area of specialization so
that they could work well and within the required time rather than putting
energy on something they are not aware of.
•Increase in the salary package; as less salary package has been the greatest
reason why people are exiting an organization like HCL.
•On-site workers should be provided with Internet/Portal access all the time in
order to clear their issues.
•Better career enhancement opportunities should be provided.
CONCLUSION
• The primary objective of the report was to study and analyze the On-
boarding, Off-boarding processes and Performance management System of
HCL Services Ltd.
• All of this would able the employees to work efficiently and making them
aware of Organizations working leading to Employee Satisfaction.
• Moreover, working in HCL helped in individual’s confidence building,
betterment in communication skills and lead to overall grooming.

and differentiated ways of offering industrialized engineering services.
