The Sugar Glider was a DC-4 aircraft designed and manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company in the 1930s. During World War 2, over 1,000 were produced as the C-54 Skymaster to transport American soldiers. After the war, one plane was purchased privately and used to carry cargo, eventually being owned by an Asian president and his pilot Henderson, who flew the president to safety and was gifted the plane, starting his own cargo company in Australia until the plane was retired to a museum.
