The couple Atty. Regina and Plaridel dela Cruz saw potential in starting a buko pie business after enjoying buko pie during trips to visit their daughter in school. They learned how to make buko pie from an experienced baker and saw success as production increased from 20 pies per day initially to 50 boxes. Their business grew with the opening of additional branches in Tagaytay and other locations, finding success in catering to native delicacies.

4.  Constant trips to Los Baῆos, Laguna,
where their daughter Colette is
attending school, introduced them to
the treat of buko pie. Realizing the
potential of a buko pie business.
 They searched for an experience buko
pie baker from Los Baῆos and made him
impart his knowledge in the process of
buko pie-making.

5.  From the initial production of 20 pies
a day during the first day of opening,
the production increased to 50 boxes
in the succeeding days.
 In 1994, the couple felt confident
enough to open another branch of
Colette’s in Tagaytay and soon, the
rest of the branches followed suit.

couple, Atty. Regina and Plaridel
dela Cruz chose “buko pie” as their
business venture? Did they made
the right choice in catering into this
kind of native delicacy business?
 How will you describe the couble as
an entrepreneur?

9.  Enlin’s took from the owner’s name, Enrie J.
Dumlao and Evelyn D. Dumlao, both former
OFW in Taiwan.
 In the year 1998, the couple started their
small business by producing Buko Juice. The
product was introduced to carinderia and
other variety store and nearby schools.
 In the beginning, it was not easy for the
couple to market their product since its
known the buko juice is contained formalin
added by other manufacturer.

10.  In December 2001, Evelyn D. Dumlao, opened
a new business in baking product located in
their residence.
 However, ordinary bread or baking product
was not demandable in the market, therefore
they improved the quality of the product and
shifted into special bread at a low price but
with great taste. The consumer of buko juice
was also their prospective customer to
promote the baked product. Fortunately, due
to the good quality and affordable price, it
was continuously spread to Malolos town and
other places in bulacan.

11.  The dream of the owner to
combine restaurant and bakeshop
was fulfilled on May, 2007, when
Malolos Crossing Branch was
launched; this was the first branch
with restaurant, which offering
services such as short orders, free
delivery order, and catering
services.
