Note Taking Concept   Mapping Outlining Summarizing Questioning
NOTE TAKING Few people do it well. They either  write too much or too little  to  effectively learn the material.
 
1.  Be sure to use HEADINGS : -  Headings make quick reference points. -  Also serve to separate key topics. 2.  Bullet points : -  Notify us of details and supporting ideas. Text Signals : -  Draws our attention to  important items  within the text. -  By changing the color, italicizing, or putting a word in    bold , one can draw attention to that area.
 
If only I had better study strategies I wouldn’t have to sit here so long. Is the process of forming relationships between ideas. Creates links between new information and past knowledge. Very effective tool because it encourages reflection and comprehension.
 
Assignment Create  one  Study Guide using the techniques you just learned and the handout. If you work in groups, use two of methods to create a study guide.
