Comparison Table for current and new IPPT system
7. Assumptions
In reviewing the old and new IPPT system, the following
assumptions are made;
1. Numbers who previously fail SBJ (Standing Broad Jump) and
SR (Shuttle Run) will now pass or obtain an award.
2. Numbers who previously fail Pull Up component will now
stand a higher chance of passing Push Up component.
3. Numbers who are able to meet the requirements of Pull Up
previously are now expected to perform much better in the
Push Up component (e.g. shift from pass to silver, shift from
silver to gold, etc.)
4. Numbers that previously are unable to clear IPPT will now
find it easier to meet ‘Pass” requirements (most likely the
largest group)
8. Age Group Table
Age Group Comments
< 22 The assumption would be
the participant is in their
prime and has continued in
active lifestyle. As such,
IPPT scores should not have
much variation.
22 – 24
25 – 27
28 – 30 The age groups 31 – 33 and
37 – 39 are selected as
control groups against the
scores for the different levels

25. Concluding Remarks
• We anticipate an average shift in pass rate
– PTP: XX% to XX%
– BMT: X% to X%
• We anticipate a gradual shift to the right in
the bell curve
