The Gigapan camera mount has 3 operations;
-a left-right motor for horizontal panning,
-An up-down motor for vertical movement, and
-a servo which presses down on the camera’s shutter button.

This is the Summit Series Snow Goggle Camera Model 335
which incorporates a great 5-megapixel sensor to record
photos and video saved on internal memory 16MB or better
yet on the coupon microSD / SDHC 16GB card slot. The
other model is the Freestyle Swim Series Camera Goggle.

Liquid Image has this new version of the Underwater HD Video Camera Mask that
captures your real time scuba adventure up to 115 feet and is capable of capturing
720p video and 5 megapixel photos. Liquid Image will also be out will 3 new camera
masks spring 2009...so stay tuned. There's no word on the price of the Scuba Series
HD 320, but we'd say somewhere around $200. (www.besportier.com)

German researchers
at the Technical
University of Munich
have developed a
super speedy robotic
camera that mimics
the human eye.
In technical terms,
"the camera mount
features three
degrees of
movement, and can
flick around at a rapid
2500 degrees per
second." Video after
the break.

3. A real-world example of drift. After the camera revisits the same part of the scene the
3D object points of the current image (red) differ strongly from the 3D object points
generated earlier in the sequence (blue). The right image shows a detail magnification
from the left image. The squared shape of the yellow paper is clearly visible in the
shifted blue point cloud.

first frame are shown
