A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Internship report is the outcome of perfect coordination and cooperation between
theoretical and practical experience throughout the session of works. The title of the

1.2 Origin of the Report
Internship Program is a mandatory requirement for the students who want to acquire BBA
degree under the Faculty of Business & Economics of Daffodil International University.
It is my pleasure to be a part of Administration in this University as an employee.
During this period, I learned how administration works with the help of academic
coordination for serving the students. As a result I have decided to prepare an internship
report on “Students Satisfaction Audit” in context of Daffodil International University
(DIU).
During my work experience with the University, I was placed in the Administrative
Department (Career Development Center). I joined here on 01 February, 2012. This report
is focused on the activities of administration and academic concerns to how the students
achieve highest satisfaction using most effective education system and administrative
facilities of Daffodil International University.
1.3 Objective of the Report
The broad objective of the study is
To Audit the students Satisfaction level toward the academic and
administrative facilities of Daffodil International University.
The specific objective of the report is
To know about the students’ needs and wants.
14. 3
Students Satisfaction Audit

administrative purpose.
To identify the problems which cause students’ dissatisfaction if any
To construct a valid and reliable scale to understand the level of student
satisfaction.
To prescribe some suggestions on ways to improve the satisfaction of the
students.
1.4 Significance of the Report
Education is the backbone of any nation. Without utilizing modern tools, technologies
and techniques in the field of education; it is impossible to create talented and efficient
leadership quality for future generation.
To ensure those facilities for both academic and administrative practices; the level of
students satisfaction regarding academic and administrative is must to know in any
private or public University. Daffodil International University is different from others
with these mentioned facilities.
So, the proper utilization of academic and administration issues in the University
regarding management of education system and the quality of the students; preparation
of this practical report was very much important.
1.5 Scope of the study
Daffodil International University although new, but crosses about 12 years of age. By
this time, a kind of opinion and criticism has been developed in our mind to identify the
strength, quality, faculty, aim and other related issues, this study has been pursued. This
report renders a close analytical look at the student satisfaction with a focus on Daffodil
International University, in addition to its growth and development since inception. The
report is written from the point of view of Daffodil International University, as it is
expected to augment the market intelligence and knowledge base of the market research.
1.6 Methodology
The first step of this study was problem identification and deciding on the topic. This
was achieved through consultation with the advisor and the supervisor of respective
department. Next the particular objectives of the project were set. Based on these
objectives, the necessary datas for completion of the study were identified and collected.
Next, those internal sources were identified for collecting necessary information.
15. 4
Students Satisfaction Audit
After this, the data collection process began. Both primary and secondary sources were
used. The study undertaken is exploratory in nature and data have been collected from
following sources.
Primary sources: Students of DIU.
Secondary Sources: Secondary data’s have been collected from following sources.
Different publications of University Grant Commission (UGC), Different publications
of DIU, Web sites of DIU and Other Web sites.
Target population: All the students of various programs at DIU from 3 campuses.
Sample size: 100 Students
Sampling method: Convenience sampling
Data Collection method: Face to face interview with a questionnaire.
Collected data were summarized and presented efficiently to find out actual
implications. Based on proper findings, the final report was completed.
1.7 Limitations
The major limitation of this report is that no previous study was done beforehand on
“Students Satisfaction Audit of Daffodil International University (DIU)”. So, study
materials were limited. The study is heavily relied on conversation with students.
Centralization of information from scattered sources was time consuming. Standard
policies were not yet set in all the major segments in education of Daffodil International
University (DIU). University is very sensitive place, that’s why it was very difficult to
collect internal data by managing others. Time was also limited to prepare this report.
I tried hard to complete this report with authentic information. Though is that, some
miss point may be available what I have enlisted at below:
01. Only 100 respondents were counted for the research.
02. The survey not is representing the whole population.
03. Some students were not interested on questionnaire.
04. Few respondents were not willing to give honest feedback regarding academic
satisfaction, because of the neutral tendency.
05. Independent variables are not enough to justify the customer satisfaction.
06. It is too much difficult to comment are suggesting on the basis of 100
respondents.
07. The satisfaction is only measured on the basis of Data-passed.
08. No further evaluation of questionnaire was justified.
09. No prior study has been done in any section so very less number of documents is
available.

4.1 Introduction to Student Satisfaction Audit
Good education is probably the most important factor for the national economic
development. Demand and quality of higher education remains a big concern for
decades in Bangladesh.
Private education sector is growing rapidly in Bangladesh over the past few years.
Competition in this sector has become very keen. So far most of the private universities
in our country have been earning high returns for relatively little efforts. To survive in
the competition and for the sustainable growth, better satisfaction of the students is
needed. This paper is mainly attempted to identify the determinants of satisfaction of
Daffodil International University students in Bangladesh. A total number of 100
university students were selected as sample for the study. The results revealed that most
of the students’ satisfaction depend on some factors of Academic and Administrative
issues such as faculty members attitude, etc. Private universities in Bangladesh need to
change their strategies for better satisfaction of students and to improve the institutional
environment.
Student satisfaction has become a major challenge for the universities and it has been
recognized that student satisfaction is the major source of competitive advantage and
this satisfaction also leads towards student retention, attraction for new students and
positive word of mouth communication, as well. It has been recognized and reported in
earlier studies that long term survival and success of the universities depending upon the
quality of services and the effort made by them to achieve that distinguishes one
university from other universities. In some earlier studies it had been reported that
universities were also implementing quality management principles and used these
principles as a strategic tool to gain competitive edge and improved performance. Now
the concept of quality and customer satisfaction had been evolved in educational sector
and got considerable attentions. These trends have also been seen in the developing
countries like Bangladesh.
36. 25
Students Satisfaction Audit
4.2 Background Of Student Satisfaction
The measurement of student satisfaction can be useful to post-secondary institutions, to
help them to pinpoint their strengths and identify areas for improvement. Satisfaction
ratings go beyond teaching assessments, which have a narrow focus, to include broader
aspects of the student learning experience. To grasp the complexity of that learning
experience, it is not enough to know the degree to which students are satisfied, it is
important to understand the factors that contribute to student satisfaction. The purpose
of this study is to identify aspects of the educational experience that are associated with
former students' overall expression of satisfaction. Determining which features of the
student experience are most closely related to satisfaction may provide information
about actions that can be taken to maintain high levels of satisfaction and improve
student learning.
To collect data at Daffodil International University I have asked 100 current students to
make an overall statement about their satisfaction with their studies. Among them, 40
Students from Sity Main Campus,40 Students from Prince plaza Campus As well,
survey respondents rate many aspects of their educational experience, from skill
development and personal growth to quality of curriculum and instruction and
Administrative facilty. These ratings provide a wealth of information for exploring the
dimensions of student satisfaction. The survey also gathers information about current
student’s academic achievement and further education outcomes.
In questionnaire there have 52 questions what completely close ended question is. Five
probable answers were attached with every question. The five answers carrying five
different values like Strongly Agree=5, Agree=4, Neutral=3, Disagree=2, Strongly
Disagree=1.
4.3 Advantages Student Satisfaction
In Bangladesh there have many private university who are regularly promote their
university by releasing ad in the electronic media & print media. Sometimes they also
arrange road show at different occasions. Their ultimate target is to aware the customers
(students) to be allure to their university. Thus they are success too.
With contrast them Daffodil International University do not arrange for different kinds
of advertisements. Research has sowed that 90% students came at DIU by reference.
Only 10% students came at DIU by advertisement. Question is, however student came
by if they are not satisfied on their own university then why they will consult others
potential students to come at their university. Student satisfaction is like a tonic by what
a university can retention their students. Sometimes students seeking some unwanted or
unethical demand to university what not possible to meet thus students are being
satisfied. Students may demand for logical demand. Students may charge for quality
education, better environment, better faculty etc.
37. 26
Students Satisfaction Audit
4.4 Why Internship Report on Student Satisfaction Audit?
As we know, Daffodil International University is one of the leading private University
among all Public and Private Universities. As a Leading Private University Daffodil
international University also arrange quality education and facilities to students. So, as a
part of University Administration, I want to know about their satisfaction regarding the
education process and also their administrative purpose. Because Daffodil International
University always priotarized the students satisfaction. Students are the main backbone
of any educational Institutions. So, to enrich the reputation of University, we need to
know the students satisfaction level to ensure the quality Education.
4.5 Data and Methodology
a) Data
The study is conducted using both type of data, Primary and Secondary. Primary data is
used for the basic study about the perception of students regarding the facilities provided
them in the higher education institutions in DIU either they are satisfied or not while the
Secondary data is used to build the study framework and analysis system.
b) Primary Sources of Data
Questionnaires are being used as a primary source to collect the data regarding the
satisfaction of students about the facilities provided to them in DIU.
c) Questionnaires
A sample of 100 students was distributed among 52 well structured questionnaires to
collect their perception views about the facilities provided to them in DIU. Students
from different departments and different campuses were selected as a sample and they
were given questionnaires to give their perception about the facilities of the university
provided to them and were asked if they were satisfied from them or other. The response
from the students of sample was appreciable and they supported in giving their fair
views and perceptions about the facilities.
d) Sampling
As we know that it is impossible for any researcher to collect the responses from a
whole population, so s/he selects a sample which justifies and represents the whole
population. In this research study, I have selected a sample of 100 students from 3
campuses of DIU.
38. 27

5.5 Data presentation and Analysis
While I have made a survey on Daffodil International University’s students, then I got
52 answers for each questionnaire. Total numbers of respondents were 100. For 100
