Student magazine- Fresh Direction
The Masthead:
The words are in capital and in
different colours to emphasize
the meaning of each word
individually.
Also the colour red and black in
my view represent strong and
powerful colours which make it
stand out even more from the
which background.
The Masthead ‘Fresh Direction’ tells
the student readers that they will be
receiving the latest, up to date advice
and information that will have some
relation to the youth that will
probably benefit the students.
It uses the typeface serif, which could
be an indication that it is targeted at
females.
They used a sell line to attract
people to buy; ‘The UK’s No. 1
Student Magazine’.
The Banner gives the customers an
insight of what the magazine has to
offer for the customers to read about.

I think this magazine is targeted
at female students, shown in the
main and sub-images, the text
and the colours.

femininity and highlighting/
advertising the key

could win if they purchase the
magazine.

advertise and support what the
headline is conveying.
Using a feminine font for,
‘Katy B’ to advertise who she is
in the picture and also make an
indication as well as the head
lines about her will be a page
or pages about her.
The head lines are not the
same font type and size to
separate each headlines and
to advertise it in different
ways for people to read it.
