1. Bravery: Not shrinking from threat, challenge,
difficulty, or pain; acting on convictions even if unpopular.
• It is an action that occurs outside the norm and
beyond the routine call of duty.
• Bravery is doing something regardless of your fear.
• Western cultures consider acts of bravery
exceptional.
2.Persistence: To continue with a goal-directed action in
spite of obstacles or difficulties
• A person work is more of a obstacle
• Something that is fun or rewarding does not require one to overcome
setbacks
• Many humans are required to work on a task for days, weeks or even a
lifetime
• Most animals do not persist at any given task for more than 20 minutes
• People who persevere generally expect their persistence to be rewarded
• A negative outcome reduces persistence and fosters a tendency to
withdraw from a task
• Studies show high self-esteem scores have shown to persist longer than
others
3. Integrity : a character trait In which people are true to
themselves. A person who takes responsibility for their
feelings and behaviors. Honesty
• Alignment between what you believe is the right thing to do and what
you do.
• integrity is not always an easy one to follow, it is the only path upon
which you will never get lost.
• Individuals with the character strength of integrity would strongly
endorse such statements as these:
1). It is more important to be myself than to be popular.
2). I would never lie just to get something I wanted from
someone.
3). My life is guided and given meaning by my code of values.
4. Vitality: Approaching life with excitement and energy;
feeling alive and activated. energy
• Vitality is linked with good health and feels alive
• Individuals with a high level of vitality would strongly endorse such statements as these:
1). I feel alive and vital
2). I have energy and spirit
3). I nearly always feel awake and alert
4). I feel energized. I feel full of pep
5). I rarely feel worn out
