Supporters of sex workers' rights movement often emphasize how the illegal status of prostitution contributes to harm to sex workers, and how legalizing or decriminalizing prostitution might make it safer. But those of us who are street-based, immigrant, transgender, underage, people of color, etc. know that the law against prostitution plays only a small part in our experience of pervasive surveillance and criminalization in our lives. It is not that we are targeted and criminalized because prostitution is against the law; the prostitution became illegal because we are already targeted and criminalized.
This workshop explores a possibility for an anti-criminalization movement, which goes beyond legalization or decriminalization of sex work and addresses social and economic justice more broadly in the face of pervasive state violence, whether they take the form of Prison Industrial Complex or anti-trafficking "rescues." Our discussion will build on the work of women and queer people of color with histories in the sex trade, and how they have successfully built coalition with radical women of color activists outside of the sex workers' rights movement, for example during the campaign against Prop. 35 in California.

The website https://www.udayton.edu/artssciences/ctr/hrc/abolition_ohio/index.php talks about partnership with members of community and organization towards anti-human trafficking in Ohio by preventing human trafficking, protecting victims and survivors, and prosecuting the criminals through creating awareness, research and education across the country (University of Dayton, n.d.). It accomplishes this through a program known as School Trafficking Outreach Program- STOP. STOP aims at creating awareness and education on human trafficking prevention. It educates youths, members of the community and school personnel through engaging and comprehensive anti-human trafficking program. It distributes STOP materials across high schools in the Miami Valley. The victim service matrix helps law enforcement and service providers working with victims in this region (University of Dayton, n.d.). The listed organizations and agencies help legally and in life skill training. It also has a wide variety of resources on anti-human trafficking ranging from audio to governmental agencies.
From the information I have found, I would support Veronica and other victims of human trafficking by listening to them as this will help them understand that I am willing to help. The victims may not open up immediately therefore, I would not be judgmental or pressure them. Most importantly, I would avoid blaming the victim.
I would increase my awareness of human trafficking by learning indicators of human trafficking through training which is available to educators (Plummer, et al., 2014). Also, I would teach others about human trafficking through an event that aims at raising awareness, for example, watching a documentary on sex trafficking and discussing the film. To become an ally with the victims, I would volunteer in anti-human trafficking groups in society. I would also learn about the culture of these victims as well as become aware of the oppression they faced.
To support this group of victims, I would take the following steps. First, I would learn about the red flags ad be vigilant of signs of human trafficking (Adams, et al., 2018). I would then initiate a private conversation and let go of any expectations I have. I would also believe the person and build on their strengths. Taking their fears seriously and validating their feelings is another step. Importantly, let the victim open up when they feel comfortable to do so.

If you work in the financial industry like us, you know that every day money used to buy, sell and exploit people is flowing through our banks’ systems, accounts and ecosystems. Modern slavery and human trafficking generate an estimate of $150 billion per year – possibly more. But we cannot see it. The traces of human trafficking and modern slavery are hidden in terabytes of data isolated in different systems. Even just planning to surface that data costs hundreds of thousands of pounds, dollars, euros, and needs days, months or years, that we don’t have. · After learning about the character in the Parker Family case study, imagine that you were the school social worker. Which indicators would you have looked for and why.
There were several indicators discussed in the Parker Family video. The fact that she was a teenager, depressed, and had a lack of family support are three factors that stood out to me. “Suicide among adolescents continues to be a national concern, with over 1,900 children in the United States under the age of 20 dying by suicide annually” (Miers, Abbott, & Springer, 2012). She was also displaying signs of being depressed with her friends by losing interest in activities. This is a big indicator for possible suicide because she isn’t thinking clearly. Finally, after the attempted suicide, not only is she prone to try again but her family didn’t seem to care and acted like everything was fine. Her cry for help was not heard.
· How would you have responded to each of those indicators?
If I knew she was depressed I would have tried to get her in to see her doctor and possibly suggest an antidepressant. With the lack of family support, she could do individual counseling and group therapy to listen to other survivors of attempted suicide and work on an outside support system for herself.
· What kinds of questions would you have asked and why?
I would ask Stephanie about what kinds of things make her sad and happy. Also asking about what she does to help cope with stressful situations. Being able to learn how cope with stress can help to create healthy habits later on.

This website was created by Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore in 2012 that helped to create one solution via technology for catching child human trafficking. They are “able to quickly assess whether new technologies can be repurposed to protect children from sexual exploitation through one of our three strategic pillars: 1) accelerating victim identification 2) equipping platforms, and 3) empowering the public” (Defending Children From Sexual Abuse).
Explain how you might support Veronica and other human trafficking victims incorporating the information you have found.
I would help to support Veronica and other victims by working on building trust and working on the issues of PTSD. Since there are no young support groups, I would create a support group specific fo.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

active with other members. Human trafficking is no longer an issue, which affects one
country. It is getting spread all over the world in these days.
