INDIAN FACE
INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK indices ended at seven-week
lows after sharp decline in the rupee, widening trade deficit
and global growth concerns led to sell off across the board by
investors. Profit booking by foreign institutional investors in
the previous sessions also weighed on market sentiment.

company said that it is acquiring assets of Scherer & Trier
group, Germany at around Euro 36 million (approx Rs284
crore).
Godrej Consumer Products dipped 6.36% after 0.24% equity
changed hands in a bulk deal on BSE today, December 16,
2014.
GLOBAL FACE
Sliding oil prices and a downbeat China factory survey
weighed on Asian shares while the ruble jumped against the
dollar after Russia sharply increased its benchmark interest
rate in a bid to halt a collapse in its currency.
European shares fell on , extending their recent sharp slide, as
a hefty Russian interest rate hike hit stocks with exposure to
the country and the relentless drop in oil prices knocked
energy shares.
US stock index futures poised for a higher opening at the Wall
Street on Tuesday.
