rd
person to join this international architectural practice I took on the role of Practice Manager and
Projects Director and grew the office to 75 strong over the course of 2 years along with developing the business
and providing overall leadership on all projects as well as directly running several mega projects:-
U-Bora Towers, Business Bay, Dubai
I led the multidisciplinary team and sub-consultants to developing the very early concept of this 120,000m2, 52
storey office tower and 17 storey residential tower containing 225 apartments from concept design through to
Building Permit approval and supervision on site. Construction cost approx. US$250 million
Pentominium, Dubai Marina, Dubai
This is a super tall, top end luxury, residential tower, rising to 516 meters having an area of 165,000m2
and
comprising of 172 five bedroomed super luxury penthouses. It is scheduled to be the tallest solely residential
building in the world. I lead and project managed the multidisciplinary design team on this project from conception
through to Building Permits and onto site. Value US$450 million.
Damac Heights, Dubai Marina, Dubai
This is a 420m high residential tower containing 645 residential units over 85 storeys. I lead the multidisciplinary
team from basic concept to DM planning approval.
HOLFORD ASSOCIATES, Dubai, UAE (2004 to 2006)
I joined this 100 + strong architectural practice as multi discipline design and project leader to lead key projects and
provide an experienced technical overview to the design and production drawing process.
Deira City Centre Major Redevelopment and Refurbishment, Dubai
Multi-discipline Design Team Leader, Design Coordinator and Engineer of Record with a team of 16 Architects plus
other disciplines. Design and supervision of the works on site, all whilst keeping a live mall fully operational.

Leading a multi discipline team and Resident Engineer developing the concept design of a flagship Magic Planet

Concept design of a 44 storey residential and office use tower through to public launch for sale and submission for
and approval by the DIFC Authority. Construction value approx. US$125 million

I joined Atkins in 1995 due to my technical ability to specifically develop and complete the detailed design of the
British Airways World Cargo centre at Heathrow, UK. This developed, in a 3 year period,

Senior Resident Site Architect, Project Manager & Design Team Leader. A fully automated, state of the art, air
cargo facility handling 1 million tons of airfreight per year. Building size 100m x 300m x 35m high. Managing the
production of all drawing packages and reviewing sub contractor’s drawings. Senior on Site Architect for two years,
though to practical completion. Specialised knowledge of radar absorbing cladding, and the radar environment at
airports. Construction value US$400 million.

Multi-discipline Design / Construction Manager, Closing out all outstanding contracts and defects post practical
completion on this 600 bed, 25 storey, 5 star luxury hotel complex.
Wild Waddi Water Park, Dubai, UAE
Senior Designer, completing the detail design stage and on site design solutions to achieve practical completion
and opening of the Water Park

INTERESTS
I am a scuba diver since 1988 and am a long standing member of the Desert Sports Diving Club in Dubai. I also
enjoy trekking and exploring the mountains and rivers of SE Asia and off road exploring in the mountains and
