God is reviving the Church to a new place of intimacy through passionate worship. David reveals to us the heart of a worshipper. True worship is an expression of a heart that is awe of God's greatness. It is an overflow of a heart that is hungry for God, for His presence. True worship is an expression of a heart that is pursuing holiness as worship cannot take place outside of holiness. True worship comes from a heart that demonstrates undivided devotion in good times and bad, since the God we worship in unchangeable. Let us worship on earth as it is in heaven!

In this lesson we show how the carnal mind thinks and how it is opposed to God. We challenge every child of God to guard our hearts and set it on things above. Both audio and slides can be found together at www.cmcoc.org
Sermon by: Brian Birdow
This lesson warns us against the dangers of a "Carnal Mind". It teaches us the way that carnality separates us from God and provides challenges to guard our hearts.
Worship is a lifestyle, that expresses itself in extravagant and lavish service of the Lord. In this message we discover 6 key aspects of David's lifestyle that were affected by His worship of God. We take a close look at the Tabernacle of David and how the Church is a prophetic fulfillment of its rebuilding. We live in an hour when God is calling His people into a place of continuous worship and intercession, that will result in a great harvest of souls.
What is Worship? What are the words used in the New Testament for Worship? What does it involve? Is it just about singing? True Worship, Sacrifice and Offering.

Paul travels to Iconium. Some embrace Paul while others do not. Acts teaches us to avoid Polarized thinking "Us" and "Them" because followers of Jesus are not always outsiders. Acts teaches us to be selective who we engage and look for opportunities for the gospel.
Kneeling with our knees today was slowly lost. Do you know that through kneeling down, we prepare ourselves to survive in the midst of challenging time in future.
Here are the slides to Sunday's (10.21.18) lesson on the Ten Commandments (Part III). After reviewing some material covered in the first and second lessons, I aim to transition from the first group of commands that concern how we are to love God (I-IV) to the second group of commands that concern how we are to love others (V-X).
This is common grouping reflects the First (Love God with all your heart... Dt 6:5 cf. Mt 22:37-38) and Second Greatest Commandments (Love your neighbor as yourself... Lev 19:18 cf. Mt 22:39-40) -- according to Jesus...

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

Steps from knowing god to hating god romans
1. Steps from Knowing God to
Hating God Romans 1:19-32
Gentiles had gone from “knowing God” (v. 21)
to “haters of God” (v. 30).
This why they need the gospel so badly. (vv.
16,17)
Three times it says that “God gave them up” (vv.
24, 26,28).
Gentile descended from knowing God to hating
God in four gradual, but well-defined steps.
2. Step One: They Stopped Glorifying
God.
• They did not glorify not God while they knew him. (v. 21)
• We glorify God by faithful service in word and deed - Had
better do it while we know Him.
• Glorify with words. (Rom. 15:6) - Sing, pray, teach and
preach.
• Glorify with works. (Mt. 5:16; 1 Pet. 4:11) - First
principles, assemble, L.S. Give, etc.
• Glorify with a pure life. (1 Cor. 6:20).
• Glorify him now while you can. (Heb. 2:1-3; 3:7-13; 2
Tim. 4:1-5).
3. Step Two: They Turned To Human
Wisdom.
• Human wisdom turns to vain speculation for spiritual
answers. (vv. 21-23).
• Human wisdom lacks the power to save. (1 Cor. 1:21;
Rom. 1:16).
• It has temporal value, but no saving or eternal value.
• Its volumes cannot equal ONE verse of scripture.
• Its sages of all time are nothing beside divine revelation.
(1 Cor. 1:25).
• Its planning did not produce salvation. (Eph. 2:8,9;
3:10,11; 2 Tim. 1:9).
4. Step Three: They Substituted Vain
Worship.
• Man seldom maintains a religious vacuum. (cf. Lk. 11:24-
26).
• Neglects God, exalts self, fills vacuum with human
worship.
• Rejects true object, acts or means of worship leading to
substituting own.
• Man tends to think more of own creation than God's (v.
25).
• Can criticize church, worship, etc.
• Do not criticize human institutions.
5. Step Four: They Approved Immorality As
A Way Of Life (vv. 26-32).
• Disrespect for spiritual laws lead to disrespect for
moral laws - vice versa.
• Have seen apostates and digressive’s turn to lying
and dishonor.
• When one disregards laws in one area shows
outward respect for other areas a sham.
• Disrespect for moral laws should be no surprise -
if disregard for other laws exist.
6. Conclusion:
If you know God - glorify him while you
still know him.
If you are not glorifying Him - Repent and turn.
Acts 2:38 “REPENT, BE BAPTIZED”
1 Peter 3:21 “BAPTISM SAVES US”
ACTS 8:36 “WHAT HINDERS YOU?”
