Participated as Corps Member with AmeriCorps NCCC, an AmeriCorps program engaging 18 to 24 year
olds in team-based national and community service. Participated in 4 to 6-week long projects during 10-
month term of service which strengthens communities and develops leaders. Partnered with non-profits,
municipalities, state governments and the federal government to address pressing needs. Worked with
both FEMA employees and Reservists.
 Developed disaster plans for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help
organizations with potential and existing disasters and to brief the State and Federal government
on actions taken to recover and respond to disasters.
 Mitigated, protected, responded, recovered and prepared for disasters.
 Created Situation Reports, Spot Reports, Storyboards, Incident Plans and Briefing Books as part
of the Planning Section.
