STEM education stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, promoting an interdisciplinary curriculum focused on real-world applications. Despite a growing initial interest in STEM fields among high school freshmen, many students lose interest before graduation, highlighting a significant issue in engagement. In response, the Obama administration launched the 'Educate to Innovate' campaign in 2009 to enhance motivation and proficiency in STEM education.
