3. CSA / CA integration into public policies
• Currently, the notions of sustainable agriculture, Conservation Agriculture &
Climate Smart Agriculture are already integrated in the political documents in
force after the actions of advocacy and awareness:
• The PND or National Development Plan,
• The LPA or Letter of Agricultural Policy,
• And the PSAEP / CAADP or Sectoral Program Agriculture - Livestock and
Fisheries
• National Plan to Combat Desertification (MEDD, 2015)

4. Increase in the number of technicians in Agriculture of Conservation
and Agro-ecology
• Promotion on the training of Specialists in Conservation Agriculture and Agro-
ecology at the EFTA (school training of agricultural technicians) level Iboaka
Fianarantsoa and Analamalotra Toamasina, (30 young people between 21 and 40
years old have received their certificates of completion)
• This action is part of the renovation of the Agricultural and Rural Training (FAR),
initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture of Livestock and Fisheries (MAEP) in
partnership with the GSDM ( semi-direct grouping of Madagascar), Professionals
of Agroecology

5. CSA / CA adopted in MAEP project / program activities
• in addition, as part of the implementation of the PAPAM project or the
Agricultural Productivity Improvement Project in Madagascar, the GSDM also
supports two new agricultural technician training schools and also support to
agricultural intensification within the framework of the project. a BVPI
(watershed and irrigated perimeter)approach
• The PLAE (erosion control program)carries out anti-erosion arrangements by
Conservation Agriculture Systems of the project intervention areas
• Regarding the RINDRA Program, it contributes to institutional capacity building
on AC
• PRaDA supports producers on weather risks and supports farmer organizations
and cooperatives
• AD2M project: With support from GSDM, IFAD-funded has started
dissemination agro-ecological sites in Miandrivazo, Mahabo and Belo districts
on Tsiribihina in Menabe region (West Madagascar)
