1971 started as a store by selling coffee beans
in Seattle‘s Pike Place Market


Howard Schultz joined the company, and after
a trip to Milan, advised that they should
sell coffee and espresso drinks as well as beans.

Expand beyond Seattle, first to the rest of the
United States, then further a field.
Starbucks becomes a publicly traded company.
