Star quality refers to the characteristics that make someone interesting or marketable to a large audience. Stars typically have large fan bases and are seen as celebrities. To become a star generally requires having the right look, skills or talent, PR and advertising, and connecting with fans. Gerard Way achieved stardom through forming the band My Chemical Romance after 9/11 and building their popularity over several albums until gaining widespread media attention. This media coverage increased Gerard's profile and fan base, cementing his status as a star even after the band split up.
Richard Dyer's star theory is focused entirely around how 'stars' are made for the public. It is split into three main sections. Audiences and institutions, Constitutions and Cultures.

The premise: conduct a multiphase brand audit in order to identify problems facing a brand of choice and provide realistic solutions.
My team discovered, analyzed and summarized the brand’s current situation (competitive frame, key branding elements, and positioning). We conducted in-depth interviews with target market consumers to identify brand associations and assessed their strength using a laddering technique. We developed, fielded and analyzed a survey that probed brand challenges, Consumer-Based Brand Equity, and the team’s brand development recommendations. Lastly, we compiled our findings in a final report and presented an executive summary to the class.
The result: our team scored the highest in the class, even scoring a perfect 100 on our presentation.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. Star Quality
• ‘Star Quality’ is the collection of features and
characteristics that make a person more
interesting and/or marketable to a large audience.
‘Stars’ typically have large numbers of fans and
are considered celebrities, often being seen on
pedestals and idolised by their supporters.
3. Aspects of a Star
• ‘Stars’ generally have a particular set of features that lend to their
fame, such as:
• The right ‘look’ for their target market
• The right skills or talent (e.g singing, dancing, reality television)
• PR and advertising (making their face visible to the public as often
as possible in videos, photo shoots, media coverage etc)
• Connection to fans (not all stars interact directly with fans, but
they usually appear on social media to give fans the impression of
being ‘connected’, and to keep them updated with the star’s
movements)
4. The Big Stars
• In today’s society, people rise to stardom without ever
having done much. Some of the biggest ‘stars’ of today hail
from the Kardashian family who, through having their own
television show and being given constant media coverage,
are always in the public eye and have become popular
purely for their actions on a show about their lives.
• Other big stars are pop acts, such as One Direction and Ed
Sheeran. While groups such as One Direction were formed
by someone else and thrust into stardom on a reality show,
some people such as Ed Sheeran reach star level by
climbing the ladder and gaining popularity gradually.
5. A Star Example: Gerard Way
• Gerard Way began his career in music after the 9/11 attack,
forming My Chemical Romance soon after. Their careers moved
slowly, building popularity through their first two albums, with the
second being the ‘breakthrough’ that led to stardom.
• Once they had gained public attention, the media took hold, with
magazines such as Kerrang and Alternative Press publishing
articles about them on a regular basis, and their videos being
shown regularly on television. Additionally, Gerard himself
became a teen icon, appearing on the cover of magazines aimed
at young teens, giving him the edge when it came to stardom.
• However, not all the press was good press, with The Daily Mail
famously releasing an article condemning the band for starting a
‘cult’. The band gained even more media courage by
encouraging fans to protest outside the Daily Mail headquarters,
and the story put the band’s and, in particular, Gerard’s name in
everyone’s mouths.
6. Career Peak
• At the peak of their success, the band were playing in
stadiums and being talked about all over the world. Their
videos racked up millions of YouTube hits, and their fans
were devoted, even through the band’s stylistic changes.

7. Present Day
• After My Chemical Romance’s split in 2013, Gerard
moved on quickly to begin a solo career, and due to
his star status, he had an existing base of support,
allowing him to release an album quickly and sell out
tours all across America and the UK.
• Gerard released his debut solo album ‘Hesitant Alien’
in 2014.
