Task 2

In our film we decided to use the character Anthony Kurtz as our
antagonist and he is the only character that our video focuses on.

We dressed him in dark clothing to show he is a dark and scary
character, this is similar to the killer in the ‘Scream’ film series,
however he does not have a large mask like the scream killer.
Because he is dressed similar to that character this shows he is a bad
person and is out to harm other people, also the fact that most of his
face is hidden by a scarf shows that he does not want to be identified
and probably has done something bad before.

He is also similar to the character profile of the serial killer from the
film ‘Choose’ (2011). This is because he dresses similar to him and
also he is similar to him personality wise as well, the killer in
‘Choose’, is cold and calculated, he knows who he wants to make his
next victim and will get them no matter what, he is always one step
ahead of the police and he is influenced by psychology, playing
mental games with people as well as hurting/killing them. Our
character is similar to this person as he is always one step ahead and
has no sympathy for any other person. He is also stealthy when he
wants to be so that no one finds him or sees him when he is stalking
his next victim.

In the bottom left photo is a shot of the killer from ‘Choose’ with one
of his victims, as you can see the character is dressed all in black and
also has black face paint on to show he is like a stalker, lurking in
shadows trying to hide, and as you can see he is similar looking to
our character, however he looks a lot more sinister than our
character as he is walking around with weapons and tools to get his
victim, like in the photo.

In the shot our character has a closed body type, he legs are close
together and his arms are by his side, this shows he is not trying to
draw attention to himself and when someone has a closed body they
generally do not want to be approached to by other people.
