• PowerPivot, Power View via SSAS Tabular use xVelocity
• xVelocity is the new storage engine; it uses DAX
• Learn DAX
• It is not easy, but is easier than MDX


• Do not take existing MD cubes with reports and move to Tabular
• New cube from scratch use Tabular, easier
• Ensure that the database can fit in memory if using Tabular.
