The future of hyperconnected buildings - Illumni 2014Bruce Duyshart
Presented as part of the Illumni Future of Lighting Summit 2014 (http://futureof.lighting) in collaboration with the Sydney Vivid Festival of Light, Music and Ideas. (http://www.vividsydney.com).
Presentation Synopsis
Today we are living in a hyper-connected data driven world. The phenomenal global rise of mobile and wearable computing is raising the bar of digital literacy and has awakened people's awareness and expectations of what can be achieved with technology. But how will this expectation match the reality of what is evolving in the built form environments we live and work in?
This insightful presentation examines the status of technological progress that is occurring outside of the property industry.
It then explores the concept of smart buildings that are now beginning to sense, adapt and respond to our functional, environmental and personal needs.
To conclude, a number of smart lighting concepts are illustrated that illustrates how light and technology can be combined in ways that adds intelligence and provides better user experiences to a range of environments.
An brief introduction to the current business opportunities in the e-commerce, mobile internet and cloud computing space in China and how Innovation Works can help entrepreneurs who want to startup projects in these areas.
CallidusCloud Webinar: 5 Steps to Better Sales Performance ManagementErika Alexander
Recent opinions in leadership articles and blogs have made the statement that you can't necessarily motivate sales people - but you certainly can demotivate them by setting them up for failure. Leaner teams and tighter budgets require sales leaders to deploy coaching and motivation tactics that go beyond basic incentive plans. To stay competitive, best-in-class sales organizations are rolling out data-driven coaching plans paired with gamification. In this webinar, we will cover five areas to ensure your sales reps are set up for success - not failure.
Hear about best practices in:
- On-boarding
- Effective territory & quota planning
- Coaching and appraisals
- Compensation and rewards
- Gamification techniques

Here are the slides from Mobile Marketing Boot Camp at Online Marketing Summit, San Diego. You'll find the facts and figures we cited, but obviously a ton of the day was discussion...so the slide are only a slice of the day.
Zappos Hacked: Experts Assess The SituationDave Wieneke
Non-financial records of 24 million Zappos customer were leaked to hackers, introducing new doubt about security at the consumer service leader. Digital experts, including Dave Wieneke of ISITE Design, provide insight on the situation and what must be done to protect their relationship with consumers.
Online Marketing Summit: The Web3.0 Digital Marketing RevolultionDave Wieneke

PAC Webinar - The French IT market is changing. Are You?Nicolas Beyer
The situation on the French IT services market is tougher than ever. Even if the digitalization of the economy remains a long-term growth driver, the number of rationalization projects on back office, or global delivery models, including offshore capabilities, is on the decline in a very hard economic climate. However, the market provides plenty of opportunities for those suppliers able to offer innovative and value-based solutions.

This paper discusses assembly operations using a single manipulator and a parallel gripper to simultaneously
grasp multiple objects and hold the group of temporarily assembled objects. Multiple robots and jigs generally operate
assembly tasks by constraining the target objects mechanically or geometrically to prevent them from moving. It is
necessary to analyze the physical interaction between the objects for such constraints to achieve the tasks with a single
gripper. In this paper, we focus on assembling pipe joints as an example and discuss constraining the motion of the
objects. Our demonstration shows that a simple tool can facilitate holding multiple objects with a single gripper.
