This document outlines the topics and schedule for an introductory course on networking systems in education. Over the course of 16 weeks, students will learn about computer hardware and software, networking concepts like topologies and protocols, and how to assemble, install, configure, test and commission both wired and wireless networks. They will gain hands-on experience assembling computer systems and designing, installing and testing a local area network. For their final project, students will visit a site, design a network, and implement the installation to provide networking capabilities for teaching and learning purposes.
