Soft Skills Course
Aim of the course:
Regardless of studying about language and discussing about communication and personality
development for hours, there are three pressing objectives of this course. They are of developing
effective reading, effective writing, and effective communication skills in its learners. We believe
these are the vital elements for successful, healthy and happy lives from eternity.
Course structure:
This course is divided into three parts and each preceding part is the subset of the succeeding part.
The three parts are
A. Language development B. Communication techniques C. Personality development.

Language development:
Language is the sole medium for expressing one’s thoughts. Hence, the kind of language one uses
reflects his/her thinking. In this course we will learn about language right from the basics like
alphabet and cover up to writing complex formal letters and articles. Though we are going to study
using ever beautiful pen and paper method, Language study has been demarcated into five major
topics in this course which are as follows.
1) Basics of English language (Includes Vocabulary as well)
2) English grammar
3) Different types of sentences (Passive-active, Direct-indirect etc)
4) Punctuation and its importance
5) Language comprehension (Covering psychology as well because comprehension, other word for
“understanding” is a brain thing)

Communication techniques:
Language is a special gift bestowed upon humans by nature where as communication is a universal
gift. As an example, even tigers can communicate and devise a plan while hunting. Language is a
subset of
communication and communication is broader term because it is sum of language and thinking. To be
able to ‘communicate well’ necessarily means to ‘think well’. The content for this part has been taken
from books and sayings of eminent thinkers, writers, entrepreneurs and speakers. Some of the topics
of this part are as follows
1) Basic techniques of handling people. 2) Public speaking. 3) Ways to make good impression.
4) Ways to win people’s thinking to our way. 5) Leadership and ways.

Personality Development:
This word may sound strikingly spiritual and quite boring but indeed it is an exciting subject as there is
no limit for developing the personality of a person. This part of the course touches few writings of
educationists, economists and philosophers. And tries to relate the work of the
employee/organization with the society and their personal lives and how they can improve it. Some
of the topics in this part are

1) Education and its importance. 2) Different types of fears and ways to overcome them.
3) Building work culture. 4) Greatness and success. 5) Gifts of reading and technology.

Note: The content for the 2nd and 3rd parts is variable as there are no fixed rules for improvement
techniques and topics of present trend may replace the old ones if necessary.

How the course will help an individual:
This course has the power to pull out an employee or an individual from his world of rosy dreams into
the beautiful real world. And it will guide him to improve his work methodology, respect the work
place and maintain transparency and will also show him/her the joy of being a team player. In one
phrase, the answer would be “improved efficiency”
