Animal planet river monsters cross platform impact study
The River Monsters engagement campaign for the premiere of Season 3 had the following goals:
1) Drive tune-in for the premiere episode
2) Create an engaging experience for the YouTube community
3) Generate social buzz around the show
The campaign generated over 80 million impressions, 1.1 million channel views, and 930,000 video views. It also led to over 1,600 new subscribers to the Animal Planet channel. The masthead ad in particular drove high engagement, with users over 1,000% more likely to take desired actions like watching a trailer. The campaign was considered a success in promoting the new season.

SCA[NBCU] is a proposed system that would display unique scannable codes alongside NBC television show logos. Viewers could scan these codes using NBC or show-specific mobile apps to access promotional offers, deals, and exclusive content from advertisers. It aims to better integrate linear TV and digital platforms, driving engagement and revenue for NBC and advertisers.
