CLOVE
The flower bud is reddish or
greenish when fresh and
become brown , brittle on
drying .
Each flower bud consists of
hypanthium , four calyx lobes
and a central columnar style.
Ovary is bicarpellary inferior.
It is flattened at the base and
imparts aromatic odour due
to oil glands.
The mature fruit is purple
drupe.
Its propagated by seeds.
