Today transportation is one of the rapidly evolving technologies in the world. With the stringent mandatory emission regulations and high fuel prices, researchers and manufacturers are ever increasingly pushed to the frontiers of research in pursuit of alternative propulsion systems. Electrically propelled vehicles are one of the most promising solutions among all the other alternatives, as far as reliability, availability, feasibility and safety issues are concerned. However, the shortcomings of a fully electric vehicle in fulfilling all performance requirements make the electrification of the conventional engine powered vehicles in the form of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle PHEV the most feasible propulsion systems. Configuration Navigation Analysis Model for Regression Test Case Prioritizationijsrd.com
Regression testing has been receiving increasing attention nowadays. Numerous regression testing strategies have been proposed. Most of them take into account various metrics like cost as well as the ability to find faults quickly thereby saving overall testing time. In this paper, a new model called the Configuration Navigation Analysis Model is proposed which tries to consider all stakeholders and various testing aspects while prioritizing regression test cases.

Accurate and realistic estimation is always considered to be a great challenge in software industry.
Software Cost Estimation (SCE) is the standard application used to manage software projects. Determining
the amount of estimation in the initial stages of the project depends on planning other activities of the
project. In fact, the estimation is confronted with a number of uncertainties and barriers’, yet assessing the
previous projects is essential to solve this problem. Several models have been developed for the analysis of
software projects. But the classical reference method is the COCOMO model, there are other methods
which are also applied such as Function Point (FP), Line of Code(LOC); meanwhile, the expert`s opinions
matter in this regard. In recent years, the growth and the combination of meta-heuristic algorithms with
high accuracy have brought about a great achievement in software engineering. Meta-heuristic algorithms
which can analyze data from multiple dimensions and identify the optimum solution between them are
analytical tools for the analysis of data. In this paper, we have used the Harmony Search (HS)algorithm for
SCE. The proposed model which is a collection of 60 standard projects from Dataset NASA60 has been
assessed.The experimental results show that HS algorithm is a good way for determining the weight
similarity measures factors of software effort, and reducing the error of MRE.

Analysis and Modeling of PID and MRAC Controllers for a Quadruple Tank System...dbpublications
Multivariable systems exhibit complex dynamics because of the interactions between input variables and output variables. In this paper an approach to design auto tuned decentralized PI controller using ideal decoupler and adaptive techniques for controlling a class of multivariable process with a transmission zero. By using decoupler, the MIMO system is transformed into two SISO systems. The controller parameters were adjusted using the Model Reference Adaptive reference Control. In recent process industries, PID and MRAC are the two widely accepted control strategies, where PID is used at regulatory level control and MRAC at supervisory level control. In this project, LabVIEW is used to simulate the PID with Decoupler and MRAC separately and analyze their performance based on steady state error tracking and overshoot.

Role of optimization in engineering design is prominent one with the advent of computers. Optimization has become a part of computer aided design activities. It is prima rily being used in those design activities in which the goal is not only to achieve just a feasible design,but also a des ign objective. In most engineering design activities,the design objective could be simply to minimize the cost of production or to maximize the efficiency of the production. An optimization algorithm is a procedure which is executed it eratively by comparing various solutions till the optimum or a satisfactory solution is found. In many industri al design activities,optimization is achieved indirectly by comparing a few chosen design solutions and accept ing the best solution. This simplistic approach never guarantees and optimization algorithms being with one or more d esign solutions supplied by the user and then iteratively check new design the true optimum solution. There ar e two distinct types of optimization algorithms which are in use today. First there are algorithms which are deterministic,with specific rules for moving from one solution to the other secondly,there are algorithms whi ch are stochastic transition rules.
Driving cycle is commonly known as the relationship and a series of speed-time profile. The study on this discipline aids vehicle manufacturers in vehicle construction, environmentalists in studying environment quality in proportion with vehicle emissions and traffic engineers to further investigate the behaviour of drivers and the road conditions which assist automotive industry in a better and energy efficient vehicle productions. In order to develop a proper driving cycle for selected routes, information and data based on real-time driving behaviour is important. This research focusses on the modelling of each component and latter designing a conceptual model in Simulink which takes up the data of speed of vehicles in SI unit which is m/s and draws out distance travelled and acceleration of the vehicle together with driving cycle of the route for given timestamp. This relation will be verified with existing Kuala Terengganu BasKITe driving cycle, highway fuel economy test (HWFET), new europian driving cycle (NEDC) and worldwide harmonised light vehicle test procedure (WLTP) driving cycles for the use of future projects and improvements of technology in studies and analysis of powertrain and electric vehicle performances.
Advanced Verification Methodology for Complex System on Chip VerificationVLSICS Design
Verification remains the most significant challenge in getting advanced SOC devices in market. The
important challenge to be solved in the Semiconductor industry is the growing complexity of SOCs.
Industry experts consider that the verification effort is almost 70% to 75% of the overall design effort.
Verification language cannot alone increase verification productivity but it must be accompanied by a
methodology to facilitate reuse to the maximum extent under different design IP configurations. This
Advanced reusable test bench development will decrease the time to market for a chip. It will help in code
reuse so that the same code used in sub-block level can be used in block level and top level as well that
helps in saving cost for a tape-out of a chip. This test bench development technique will help us to achieve
faster time to market and will help reducing the cost for the chip up to a large extent.

Deep Behavioral Phenotyping in Systems Neuroscience for Functional Atlasing a...Ana Luísa Pinho
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) provides means to characterize brain activations in response to behavior. However, cognitive neuroscience has been limited to group-level effects referring to the performance of specific tasks. To obtain the functional profile of elementary cognitive mechanisms, the combination of brain responses to many tasks is required. Yet, to date, both structural atlases and parcellation-based activations do not fully account for cognitive function and still present several limitations. Further, they do not adapt overall to individual characteristics. In this talk, I will give an account of deep-behavioral phenotyping strategies, namely data-driven methods in large task-fMRI datasets, to optimize functional brain-data collection and improve inference of effects-of-interest related to mental processes. Key to this approach is the employment of fast multi-functional paradigms rich on features that can be well parametrized and, consequently, facilitate the creation of psycho-physiological constructs to be modelled with imaging data. Particular emphasis will be given to music stimuli when studying high-order cognitive mechanisms, due to their ecological nature and quality to enable complex behavior compounded by discrete entities. I will also discuss how deep-behavioral phenotyping and individualized models applied to neuroimaging data can better account for the subject-specific organization of domain-general cognitive systems in the human brain. Finally, the accumulation of functional brain signatures brings the possibility to clarify relationships among tasks and create a univocal link between brain systems and mental functions through: (1) the development of ontologies proposing an organization of cognitive processes; and (2) brain-network taxonomies describing functional specialization. To this end, tools to improve commensurability in cognitive science are necessary, such as public repositories, ontology-based platforms and automated meta-analysis tools. I will thus discuss some brain-atlasing resources currently under development, and their applicability in cognitive as well as clinical neuroscience.

change, and increasing global population, crop yield and quality need to be improved in a sustainable way over the coming decades. Genetic improvement by breeding is the best way to increase crop productivity. With the rapid progression of functional
genomics, an increasing number of crop genomes have been sequenced and dozens of genes influencing key agronomic traits have been identified. However, current genome sequence information has not been adequately exploited for understanding
the complex characteristics of multiple gene, owing to a lack of crop phenotypic data. Efficient, automatic, and accurate technologies and platforms that can capture phenotypic data that can
be linked to genomics information for crop improvement at all growth stages have become as important as genotyping. Thus,
high-throughput phenotyping has become the major bottleneck restricting crop breeding. Plant phenomics has been defined as the high-throughput, accurate acquisition and analysis of multi-dimensional phenotypes
during crop growing stages at the organism level, including the cell, tissue, organ, individual plant, plot, and field levels. With the rapid development of novel sensors, imaging technology,
and analysis methods, numerous infrastructure platforms have been developed for phenotyping.

In this book, we use conservation of energy techniques on a fluid element to derive the Modified Bernoulli equation of flow with viscous or friction effects. We derive the general equation of flow/ velocity and then from this we derive the Pouiselle flow equation, the transition flow equation and the turbulent flow equation. In the situations where there are no viscous effects , the equation reduces to the Bernoulli equation. From experimental results, we are able to include other terms in the Bernoulli equation. We also look at cases where pressure gradients exist. We use the Modified Bernoulli equation to derive equations of flow rate for pipes of different cross sectional areas connected together. We also extend our techniques of energy conservation to a sphere falling in a viscous medium under the effect of gravity. We demonstrate Stokes equation of terminal velocity and turbulent flow equation. We look at a way of calculating the time taken for a body to fall in a viscous medium. We also look at the general equation of terminal velocity.

Observation of Io’s Resurfacing via Plume Deposition Using Ground-based Adapt...Sérgio Sacani
Since volcanic activity was first discovered on Io from Voyager images in 1979, changes
on Io’s surface have been monitored from both spacecraft and ground-based telescopes.
Here, we present the highest spatial resolution images of Io ever obtained from a groundbased telescope. These images, acquired by the SHARK-VIS instrument on the Large
Binocular Telescope, show evidence of a major resurfacing event on Io’s trailing hemisphere. When compared to the most recent spacecraft images, the SHARK-VIS images
show that a plume deposit from a powerful eruption at Pillan Patera has covered part
of the long-lived Pele plume deposit. Although this type of resurfacing event may be common on Io, few have been detected due to the rarity of spacecraft visits and the previously low spatial resolution available from Earth-based telescopes. The SHARK-VIS instrument ushers in a new era of high resolution imaging of Io’s surface using adaptive
optics at visible wavelengths.

provided in Fig. 1, where it is seen
that the execution time (color of the
patches) changes for different
benchmark executions.

I Therefore, it is useful to consider speeding up of
benchmarking through vectorization of the tasks that a
benchmark is comprised of.
I These include e.g.,
I parallell data cleaning part of an
individual ML tile [1] or
I synchronization between tasks when
executing parallell geospatial processing
[3].
I To enable the possibilities of data cleaning (preprocessing)
as well as geospatial processing in parallell, such
opportunities first need to be found or designed, if none
yet exist for a problem tackled.
I Therefore, this contribution will highlight some experiences
with finding and designing parallell ML pipelines for
vectorization and observe speedup gained from that.
I The speeding up focus will be on optimization
algorithms within such ML pipelines, but some more
future work possibilities will also be provided.
