Looking at the economics of happiness is an interesting way to provide a broader concept of wealth. It gives insight on relative utility that does not depend exclusively on income as mediated by individual choices or preferences within monetary budget constraints but also considers non monetary factors. Recent economic studies on happiness or subjective well being, most in developing countries, give us some insight on what contributes to individual’s satisfaction with their lives. Some studies in developed countries also found that within countries, a higher level income contributes to higher levels of reported well being. Unfortunately, economic studies on happiness in developing countries, including Indonesia, are limited because of data limitations. Therefore, this paper analyzes the determinants of subjective well being in Indonesia to assess whether there is positive association between individual wealth and happiness. Using the Indonesia Family Life Survey Data Set, logistic regression analysis is used to identify sources of happiness from both economic and non- economic variables.

This document is a book review that critiques Raul Hilberg's seminal work "The Destruction of the European Jews". The review finds that while much of Hilberg's work rests on reliable sources, its title of "Destruction" is inaccurate and should have been "The Persecution of the European Jews". Additionally, the review notes inconsistencies in eyewitness testimony and a lack of documentation of an overarching Nazi policy of annihilation. The review aims to provide a reliable account of how the Holocaust allegedly occurred while also revealing the questionable evidence underlying the accepted narrative.

True spirituality has been lost for most. He asks brothers to have goodwill and follow Christ above all else. There is much work to do in charity, love, sharing, prayer, meditation and invoking Christ's forces for true inner light. Peace will come when men seek God and show compassion and wisdom.

This document describes a genetic algorithm approach to synthesizing synchronous sequential logic circuits from partial input/output sequences. The input to the synthesizer is a partial sequence of inputs and corresponding outputs, rather than a complete state table or diagram. The genetic algorithm searches for circuits that represent the desired state transition function. It was able to successfully synthesize various simple sequential circuits like counters, adders, frequency dividers, and more. The analysis also looked at how the length of the input/output sequence affects the efficiency of the synthesizer.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
