The Sounds of History is a three-year grant from the Federal Government that provides professional development to over sixty K-16 history teachers across seven Northeastern Ohio counties. The goal is to teach history regionally by exploring American history through different focuses each year, including history through sound and using technology. Teachers participate in a two-week summer institute, two-day workshops, and work collaboratively to develop lesson plans while gaining professional development, materials, stipends and graduate credits.
