Korean artist Jean Shin created the sculpture "Sound Wave" in 2007 by melting vinyl records together to represent the obsolescence of recording media over time. The sculpture reuses old records that most people discard, making it environmentally friendly. Creating the sculpture by melting each individual record together must have been a long process but the resulting structure looks impressive and inspires using recycled materials for art.

I think this sculpture is very environmentally
friendly because it re-uses old records which
most people just pile up and don’t use again.
The sculpture looks very good and must have
taken a long time to make because as you can
see to melt each record to the other and create
a structure would take a long time.
I think this sculpture inspires people to make
more sculptures made from recycled materials
as it looks great and a lot of people can’t waste
time on buying new materials and being not
environmentally friendly.
