and thenputfacedpaced goodbeatmusicin to show the upbeatpace of the trailer.WE foundall
our soundeffectsonthe college’slistof copyrightfree music,whichwasacollectionof songsand
soundeffects.Afterlookingaroundonwebsitessuchas‘ incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/.’
We feltthattheywere more simple andsuitedtoourfilmastheywere meantforfilms.Whenwe
foundthe music‘drowning‘we likedhow itwasslow withalow tone.Thiscould metaphorically
representthe elegance of the femaleswiththe slow pace butthe low drowningtone couldsuggest
the snakey planof the female charactersastheyare introduced.We chose the sound‘broken
airtank’ because we likedthe fastpacedjumpyfeelof itandthoughthat it wouldfitperfectlywith
the scene showingthe cocaine andthe moneyinthe suitcase/ portrayinganightclubsettingwith
the strobe light.While editingwe will make sure thatthe musicandthe strobe lightfittogether.The
waythe musicchangesandgoesveryupbeatand jumpywe feltlike thiswouldmatchwithourfast
pace editedandcutsto representthe competitivenessof the drugindustry.
We alsogot our soundeffectsfromthe file.We usedthe soundeffect ‘heavystomp‘inmanyplaces.
We useditfor whenthe titlesof the charactersnamesappearedonscreen,aswe wentfor the
hyper-realitycomicfreezeframe look,we feltthatabang soundeffectwouldemphasisthisand
keepthe flowof the editgoing.We alsouseditwhenthe words‘sneaky;snakey;sultry’appeared.
While editing,Ifeltthatthisscene wasa little blandbutwasvital toaid the story line of whenthe
girlstake the newdrugs andrecipe andrun away. SoI addedon the titles.Ifeltthatit fittedwith
one of ourmain influencesguyRitchie’sstyleof editingandmade the scene abit more exciting.I
usedthe same fontthat we had usedpreviouslycalled‘IMPACT’ andusedawhite colour.Onthe
visual effectsIaddedinastrobe lightontothe titlesjust togive ita sense of movementtofitwith
the runningawayatmosphere.Ifoundita little trickytomake sure that each title came upat the
same time the wordwas beingsaidonthe voice overand the soundeffectof the ‘heavystomp’to
appearat that time too,but to make sure it wouldn’tbe louderthanthe voice over.Izoomedinon
the timeline tomake sure itwasaccurate and addedincross fades.
