The documentary included elements about riots, so the radio trailer begins with the sounds of a police siren and shouting to represent this. An upbeat, fast-paced background track called "Breakbeat long" was selected to reflect the documentary's style. To ensure correct sound levels, the background track volume was lowered during speech but raised for the police siren and rioters, gradually increasing the volume without overwhelming the other sounds.

2. As our documentary had elements about the riots, we wanted to begin our
radio trail with the sounds of a police siren and shouting of the action to
represent a part of our documentary.

3. After careful consideration, we decided on a track called “Breakbeat long “for our
background track as this has a tone which reflects our documentary style as it is upbeat
and fast paced. This will run throughout the whole of our rail trail.

documentary was to
ensure our sound levels
were adjusted
correctly, we made our
background track levels
lower when we had people
speaking, but hired the
levels as well to begin our
radio trail. We slowly
inclined the volume to
bring the sound in, not
over powering the sound
of the police siren and the
rioters.
