Soulful Expressions Events is an event planning company located in Temple Hills, MD that was founded in 2012 by a woman with a background in banking, retail, and insurance. She had envisioned starting an event planning business for over ten years. Through entrepreneurship and event planning programs, she became certified as an event planner and now plans all aspects of professional meetings and events, working with clients from initial conception through cleanup. Her services include location scouting, budget management, vendor hiring, contract review, transportation organization, and speaker engagement.

2. Some of you know me but for those who don’t I will give you a
little more background information.
• My professional background is in banking, retail and
insurance
• I started Soulful Expressions officially March 24,2012 but had
the vision for over ten years
• I’ve planned and hosted many parties and events before
making my dream a reality
• So in 2011 I decided to enroll in the Entrepreneurship
program at Operation Hope to get started
• From there , I attended US Career Institute and became
Certified as an Event Planner
• Followed by attending UDC in pursuit of Associates Degrees
in Hospitality Management and Business Technology

4. What I actually do:
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of professional meetings and events
• Work with my clients to control an event from conception to clean up
• Scout and book locations
• Budget management
• Hire vendors and review contracts
• Organize transportation
• Hire keynote speakers
